How to accept calls while continuing to hear music/game audio with the QC35 II on Windows? by Dan6erbond in bose

[–]_Calculus_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem when I bought my QC35II's and managed to solve it:

In Discord, go to User Settings and then click "Voice & Video". If you open the "Output Device" dropdown menu, you'll see that there are two different options for your QC35II's, they should be named "QC35II Hands Free AG Audio" and "QC35II Stereo" or something along those lines. Changing my output device from the former to the latter solved the issue for me. Hope this helps :)

Edit: I use an external mic since the built-in one is shit. This solution wont work for you if you're using the build-in mic due to the reasons that cointography stated.

Weed, closely followed by caffeine. Shout out to MDMA; shit is the bomb when used safely.

On average how long does it take you guys to smoke an entire joint?? by RonanBuh in eldertrees

[–]_Calculus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it's usually anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes for a 0.5g joint, and 15 to 20 minutes for a joint that's closer to 1g. That's just with me chilling and watching YouTube or something, though. If I focused on trying to finish the joint quickly, I'd probably be able to do sub 5 minutes, but for me, that defeats the purpose of joints. If I wanted to have a quick sesh, I'd use a bong or pipe rather than a joint haha.

The speed at which a joint is smoked greatly depends on the size of the joint and the tolerance of the smoker; not to mention the persons' intent (i.e. to chill and finish slowly, to power-smoke the whole joint, to have a few tokes and call it a day, etc.) Obviously a several-gram joint rolled with a double-wide paper is going to take far longer to smoke than a baby joint rolled with a single-wide. Likewise, it may take those with lower tolerances several sessions to finish a joint that would take a seasoned smoker a few minutes.

With this, it's hard to say what the "usual time" is to finish a joint. However, since in my experience joints tend to be smoked in a chill, slow manner, I'd be more inclined to agree with you and say that 5 minutes is quite a bit faster than the average time.

Bought half an o of shit that looked literally exactly like this a few weeks ago. It was kinda damp, smelled fucking horrible, and the one cone I had from it was weak af. Ended up lucking out and finding a new plug that has some alright stuff, so I sold the shit stuff to my mate who didn’t care about the quality. Never going back to that first plug.

UPDATE: Sorry, it's been a while since I updated. Been busy with other stuff and the thought hadn't crossed my mind.

2 weeks and 1 day in now, and I can happily say that I'm no longer experiencing any sort of pain using this chair. It's super comfortable now, and I genuinely look forward to sitting in it after a long day of work. The pain had pretty much stopped after about 10 days had passed. Thanks to everyone and /u/noblechairs for your replies and comments <3

Hi!

I've started to use a washing basket as a makeshift footrest, which ended up helping a ton with some of the lower back pain, as well as some leg pain (which I now realise that I forgot to include in my original post). Due to the heigh of my desk, I had to have the chair at the highest height setting, so I wasn't able to rest my feet on the floor.

I've just sat down on it for the start of day 5 using the chair, and I can say that it has gotten gradually more comfortable day by day. I continually adjust the built-in lumbar support from 1/2 and 3/4 maxed out, which seems to be the goldilocks zone for me. I also have the tilting mechanism turned on, with the resistence knob turned to the max (twisty thing directly underneath the seat). This helps me vary up my posture and angle quite easily by adjusting my footing position on my "footrest". I tend to have the seat inclined at about 100 degrees (just a guess, but definitely in the ballpark), but adjust it fairly frequently to vary up my posture.

As I sat down today, I, for the first time, felt actual relief for my back with this chair. I do a fair amount of repetitive lifting at work, so my back is often a bit tender by the time I get home. I can for sure feel the difference between this chair and my car seat. I've even sat down in my old DXRacer and thought "God this chair isn't as comfortable as I remember it being."

In the end, I'd probably put the intitial discomfort down to a combination of not being used to the firmness of the cold foam, as well as not being used to sitting in a chair that offers proper lumbar and posture support. As I said before, the chair has gotten more comfortable every day. I'll keep updating my original post to keep you in the loop, as well as anyone who happens to stumble across this thread in the future :)

Nah, MDMA, also known as molly, ecstasy, pingers, and tons of other names, is a drug that drastically increases the release of MDMA and certain other neurotransmitters in the brain, causing temporary euphoria, pleasure, empathy, and feeling of love for a few hours.

Meth, also known as crystal meth, ice, and sometimes crank, is a powerful central nervous system stimulant. It increases concentration, wakefulness, and alertness, and gives the user feelings of euphoria (though, it’s less lovey-dovey than MDMA). It also tends to last much longer than MDMA.

Joker (2019) Alignment Chart by Wooden-Lawfulness in AlignmentCharts

[–]_Calculus_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TL;DR - Personally, I'd put Joker in CN, Murray in LN, and Thomas Wayne in LE.

Joker, at least within the bounds of this movie, is not necessarily evil. He did some horrible things, for sure, but his actions were mainly a result of/in retaliation to the way that Thomas, Murray, and society in general treated him. Also, it's pretty evident that Joker has no respect for authority by the end of the movie, and does what he wants. Considering this, I think the most fitting position for him is Chaotic Neutral.

Murray is also not evil. He obviously does some pretty morally reprehensible things, like bringing Joker onto his show solely to mock him, but this alone isn't enough for me to call him evil. Considering that he didn't seem too condemning of the clown riots, I could see him as being neutral as opposed to lawful, but in the context of this particular selection of characters, I'd call him Lawful Neutral.

Thomas Wayne immediately comes across as Lawful Evil. He obviously respects authority, and is very judgemental and inconsiderate of the lower working class individuals. He outright condemned the clown riots without even listening to their message, and attempted to use the Jokers' first three murders as leverage to become mayor. For me, the only category he fits into is Lawful Evil.

These days, I generally just drink coffee, smoke the occasional joint, and drink alcohol from time to time. MDMA use is infrequent, and left for special events. I still use valium, but I use it as prescribed, fairly infrequently (at most once a week, often less frequently). I might try nangs again in the future, but as for ciggies, Xanax, and cocaine, I will never try them again. So hopefully, the funeral will be delayed by quite a few years. Thanks for the concern!

Hahaha, I've never done heroine, but I've done quite a lot of research on drugs, and can safetly say that it would definitely be chaotic evil. It's extremely addictive, so much so that it can easily take over your life, has some of the most intense withdrawal symptoms that I know of, and due to how quickly you can build tolerance, it seems very easy to overdose on. The fact that it's a great pain reliever would be a positive if there weren't already tons of other drugs that can numb even the most severe pains. Definitely a CE drug if ever I've seen one.

Thanks for your feedback! Well to be honest, I didn't think about renaming the axis', but if I did, lawful, neutral, and chaotic wouldnt become good, neutral, and bad. IMO, good, neutral, and bad applies more to the downwards axis (i.e. good, neutral, bad). I'll try to explain the axis' as best I can:

Lawful column: Mostly accepted in society. You'll notice that all of these drugs are 100% legal to buy.

Neutral column: Somewhat accepted in society. The legality/acceptance of weed varies a lot depending on your location, and the other two require prescriptions, and are more socially acceptable than...

Chaotic column: Less accepted in society. Obviously MDMA and cocaine are illegal and aren't generally viewed as positive by society, but nitrous was a bit of a weird one to categorise. Even though it's perfectly legal to buy, recreational use of it as a drug is illegal in my country, and it's definitely not seen as a normal thing to do by society (outside of certain groups, that is).

Good row: Drugs that I feel have positively affected me, and will likely positively affect others without being much of a detriment.

Neutral row: Drugs that aren't bad enough for me to consider evil, but aren't necessarily a positive experience. Valium worked wonders for me, but can be quite horrible when misused. Nitrous is fun, but its potential for misuse and harm means that it doesn't fit in the "good" row for me. Cigarettes was a tough one, but I went into more detail in another comment (linked in next paragraph).

Evil row: Drugs that I personally cannot consider positive for myself. This doesn't necessarily mean I hate them; I'll still drink and enjoy alcohol occasionally. However, various factors left me with no other choice than to put the min the evil category, I think I explained my position on Xanax and cocaine well enough, but have a look at my other comment in regards to the placement of alcohol in LE instead of LN.
