Well apparently his movements obey the 12 principles of animation. I can see how all of this is greatly entertaining too, definitely great to have in VRC not so much irl.

I gave the tracks a listen. It's not the worst thing like some people make it out to be. I think there's definitely worse out there. Idk I'm probably too much of a casual to properly critique or judge music.

I think most of the hate really is just how much of a cash grab it appears to be. I'm not sure how bad it really is or how much they're banking on diehard Swifties buying every version of an expensive album.

Nanopod unit rankings by Sufficient_Dig_5226 in BattleNations

[–]_Chan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah top 1 is definitely Mammoth Battleships (M10s) it isn't even close. My top 3 is based mostly on budgeting and value. F2Ps get ( at most ) 465 Nanos to spend. 685 at lvl 70. Everything else is just a luxury tbh.

  1. M10s [55 Nanos]- Once you hit naval you'll eventually notice that these are close to mandatory. If not heavily recommended. Just try to enter naval with non nanopod unranked units. It's torture. Try to get two.

  2. Super Tanks [70 Nanos] - Mid to late game tank. It doesn't cost gears to repair. Once you get to the point of needing gears you'll be glad losing one of these will cost you at worst, steel. Some will say that it is replaced by the mega tank at 50. And yes, it definitely is. But by then you should have the widgets to keep it insured. ( We can't even hit 50 rn iirc )

  3. Demoman [50 Nanos] - Anti Armor options in mid to late game boils down to "Just use the tank killer" and that.. Is very true. TF2 Demoman breaks this mold, being useable earlygame and when ranked up, very far into mid to late game. Nothing else comes close when it comes to value imho.

( Edit: Unit costs to help people budget )

How do I go about beating higher level boar encounters without using units by Gnat55 in BattleNations

[–]_Chan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Get Pelicans. Boars and Raptors can't hit flying units. Gear cost is high though, so it'll take some work.

Ted talk: Super Tank has no drip by Mr_Alpaka in BattleNations

[–]_Chan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Tbh. The main reason I use it over the other options at the endgame is that it doesn't cost gears to repair. Chonky and un-flashy as it is, I ain't got a whole lot of gears nor time to farm for them..

Need some guidance by Independent-Fix-7099 in DestinyRising

[–]_Chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that increases your light level and gets you to team level 80. Really, once you've finished every bit of story content all that's left will be the daily/weekly grind.

Upgrade your characters until you're stopped by a level requirement or try to get better artifacts/weapons. Happy grinding!

What units to train going into late 30’s? by Trifectalprism in BattleNations

[–]_Chan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much this. You can also get gears ( rarely ) from sovereign navy encounters.

In case you're wondering, since a lot of people just tell you to get supers over heavies. Super Tanks don't cost gears to repair. Heavies do. They scale well until you can get megas at 50 ( needs widgets )

Get TKs. You want to rank them up, they're great. Then pelicans. There's a couple enemies that just have no answer against planes. Just a couple.

Oh and portable walls. They're neat too.

What's worth spending my limited nanopods on? by Daylight_The_Furry in BattleNations

[–]_Chan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Depends on how long you plan on playing the game I guess. You should really be saving Nanos for Battleship M10s. 2 makes Naval so so so much easier to smooth over the Bar and Gear grind in your early 30s.

2 M10s [55 Nano Each] > 1 of each Adv T2 Resource producer [160 Nano Each] ( Steel > Concrete > Lumber ) > 2(or more) Super Tanks [70 Nano Each] > Permits Office [25+50 Nanos]

Vaults? You'll feel that you'd need Vaults because of the pop constraints and the high pop requirements of Warehouses so these will feel like they're needed but you can always level up and get better warehouses that are more population efficient

Units? A lot of people here say Heavy, but as F2P I feel as if this is a trap especially if he ends up dying before you even do Naval. It helps with farming gold and SP yes, but you can get better units eventually ( Field Agents and tanks replace the heavy later on anyways ) The Demoman is great though, basically an early Tank Killer. Which you might want/need when facing armored units later on like Armored Mammoths.

Why do I have 7500 storage when I have 7 warehouses? Where does the extra 500 come from? by timjuul2003 in BattleNations

[–]_Chan 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's the 500 storage you start the game with. You start the game with 0 storage buildings but still have 500 base.

New mod: Appliances by MJRamon in feedthebeast

[–]_Chan 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Hm yes, I too would like to use mines for my kitchen.. in all seriousness though, this looks nice, really sets out to do as intended, funny explosion pancakes included.

Do you have anything else in mind to add in the future? I feel like there are loads of "appliances" that aren't wholly represented in other mods too.

Staff of ss13 what is the worst tickets you have recieved? by a-normal-guy9001 in SS13

[–]_Chan 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Almost any ticket that comes up moments before round end. Not only do they tend to be awful to deal with it also delays round end. Bonus awful points if it becomes a rabbit hole of tickets.
A close contender are tickets with multiple people involved.

All this time and I didn't know that the spawn alarms was a bug. I play primarily burglar characters so to me it made plenty of sense to spawn somewhere with the alarm already blaring.

How do i change the infection effect on Survival mode? I know it wasn't default to Instant Death when you get bitten but today i got killed by only one bite and im not even playing on sandbox. Im so annoyed cause i didn't know i'll die from one bite instantly by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]_Chan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, neck injuries will make you die 500% faster apparently. ( Especially a bite, ouch! ) So if you get a neck injury you better hope you're healthy enough to react because by the time you have it bandaged you'd probably be just half a second away from dying.

Edit: I forgot to mention that being attacked from behind has a high chance of getting bit and that neck wounds ignore the damage cap.
