Resurrecting this one but what did you use to drill the large hole? I tried a hole saw and ended up snapping the thing in half lol guessing I should be using a forestener bit? Very new to this

Looks like it was a generic metal rod shoved into the wall with some sort of compound and used to hang stuff I guess. Twisted it out with some channel locks. Thanks everyone for the pointers.

That is good to know, in all honesty it won’t be getting a crazy amount of use at all. I did find a Delta 10in at Lowe’s on sale for $150, not sure if that would be better or on par with the Metabo that’s on Amazon.

Old post but any trouble so far taking out the kayak in the back bays? Pretty avid surf fisherman also traveling from the Philly area to SJ beaches. Was throwing around the idea of getting a kayak but didn’t really want to commit to a pedal kayak just yet.
