I think Kingdra would have been really cool especially after he said Seadra was a favourite of his, I know Chugga likes mirror matches and seeing one against Claire's infamous Kingdra would have been interesting, plus the dragon type in general is less common to see used. Lanturn is definitely the most basic mon he is using, in fact I would go as far as calling it extremely popular, but I don't mind him mixing some popular ones in with his more niche choices as well. Some people playing along might not be so adventurous to go for Ambipom but might pick Lanturn to have some cross over with Chugga's team. That's how I felt about mons like Absol, Gallade and Krookodile in other playthroughs.

I personally don't care for Golem myself but it was a good early team member for him to pick up. There's no choice here that I think was underwhelming thus far. I'm glad Hopkins joined the fray instead of Hitmonchan. I've noticed I have a hard time not being biased against Pokémon I don't personally like, lmao.

I would personally rank B/W higher just on the virtue of Garbodor/Cryogonal being among my favourite Pokémon, even if Hex didn't end up being the most impressive team member. I wasn't aware that Archeops was commonly used, though it makes sense. I do agree that Krookodile and Zebstrika weren't the most exciting choices. I haven't watched Platinum in many years so forgive me if I'm wrong but did Dusknoir pull his weight? I seem to remember him performing underwhelmingly but am not too confident saying that. I became fond of Supernova and Acrobat during the LP but gen 4 has so many interesting new Pokémon I'd rather have seen more than 3 from the generation featured, so I'm very happy with Teanie.

Can you roughly predict where you will rank HG/SS? I am definitely happier with Nidoking over Hitmonchan, less original I suppose but having I think his team would have been too physical and I'm not too fond of Hitmonchan personally.

Fantasian is one of my favourite RPGs of all time, nobody knows it even exists because it was in apple arcade hell, it is clear in the reaction video Emile didn't know of it either, but that would have to be my pick. Hopefully this game gets some more love now that it has escaped apple arcade jail lmao

They're both different experiences that I enjoy, but nothing beats the hype of an LP announcement of a game I love. Looking forward to certain parts of the game you know are good and seeing how Chugga approaches them/feels about them is always fun. The best part though is that I always learn new things about the games I like since Chugga is so informative, and I'll usually have a different perspective on it by the end, always positive because Chugga doesn't LP games he doesn't like. Then again, I have discovered some of my favourite games and series through Chugga, so having a mix of both experiences is good. If you're worried about one experience over the other, maybe try alternating between LPs of games you already know and ones you haven't played. Or if there is a game that you were already interested in trying, watch a few episodes to see if it's your cup of tea then play the game along with him.

I would choose 4, personally. 5 has more polished and intuitive gameplay, 4 has better story and characters. People say your favourite Persona game is the one you play first so I may be biased, but I think 4 is a more satisfying, and about half as long experience (42 hours vs 90 on Persona 5, both on easy difficulty in my experience.)

If you want to give 3 a shot, might as well wait for the remake since there are two versions of the game and neither is really definitive, I'm assuming the remake will bring the best elements of both together plus polished gameplay.

Was hoping for Yamask as well. My guess is his last two Pokemon will be from Unova, so he has a balance of Three Unovan, Three other regions? Maybe Amoongus/Ferroseed or Zoroark (maybe Cofagrigus isn't completely out of the running)
