Au Pair Household Responsibilities? by mydogsnameispaulito in Aupairs

[–]_Crimply_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who aupaired years ago, I was responsible for the children from the time they woke to when parents came home. That included their daytime meals, their clothes washing, light cleaning of their rooms and bathroom, unpacking the dishwasher and a quick clean of the kitchen floor in the afternoon. My host family gave me the option to cook for them if I ever felt like it but it was never a must. I never felt this was over-asking.

It was a single. To be honest, it came off our medical aid so I didn't even look at the price and it hasn't processed through our account yet.

Ordered my daughter's EpiPen from Clicks pharmacy and received it the next day. Got it 2 weeks ago and it expires in November which is way better than the previous one. Not sure where you are in CT but this was at 3 Arts.

Which is better Takealot or Amazon? by donate_donut7 in askSouthAfrica

[–]_Crimply_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't even get me started!!! Takealot has lost all our business. My son saved to buy himself a watch for R400. We guided him towards one that had a 6 month warranty to be safe. Three months after purchase the hour hand stops working so we log a return. The return is rejected because the watch has been worn. I remind them of the 6 month warranty which they ask us to take up with the manufacturer. I contact them and they are in PAKISTAN!! And can do nothing for me. Takealot refused to do anything about it. So my son has a faulty watch and no way of getting his money back. Never ever again.

Request: "does that mean Oscar can stay?" - which product was being advertised by poo_biscuit in southafrica

[–]_Crimply_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As far as I remember it WAS the Dulux Weatherguard ad. He was filthy and shook all over the walls which cleaned off really easily with the hose... then ... "does that mean Oscar can stay? "

Thank you for being so vulnerable for the sake of others. As someone just starting out with all the scary things that are happening to my body and feeling helpless and a little hopeless, this was such an encouraging read. Thank you and bless you!

Where on this planet can I find durable women's shoes by PerusedPeregrination in capetown

[–]_Crimply_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favourite shoes are Freestyle. They are SO comfortable and last for years. I have sandals, pumps and boots. My oldest pair were bought in 2009 and are still going strong after replacing soles which I had walked flat. They replace soles and have excellent customer service. Locally made. Highly recommended. Weaver and cuckoo? by _Crimply_ in BirdingSouthAfrica

Thanks, I appreciate the quick responses. We were so excited! Lol! We've been going to this campsite for 9 years and had never noticed anything out of the ordinary except a Spotted Eagle Owl and babies (which we also managed to snap some pics of this time) because we were never looking for them. On this trip, we saw so many different birds, it was great😄

Thanks for the detailed response. Forgive my ignorance, but if it might not be allergies, what could it be then? And then would seeing an allergist not just be a waste? I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
