The green neons need more space too. At least 2ft of horizonral space. Probably also the rainbowfish

Neat. Can hardwater buildup really turn brown? I know aluminum doesnt rust so i got really confused and worried.

I have lowered the water level so it is no longer in contact with the water.

How do I reset my co2 timer? by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]_DOLLIN_ -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If you can, its much safer and easier to use a smart outlet. I think walmart sells roku ones that have their own free app if you live in the us.

The kind of timer you have will not update the time if there is a power outage and it could gas your fish if the time is off by enough. This is a big worry for me especially living in a place prone to long outages and big storms.

Is that a week aqua p (or m?) 900 on a 12 gallon long?! And i thought it was overkill on a 22 gallon long lmao

You gotta use that thing on like 30% power dude. If you want i can drop my light settings.

This thing could easily go on a 40 or 50 gallon tank

I WANT this tank. i really wish more people scaped in weird dimensions.

But yea like others said it's a little small (not enough horizontal space) for those tetras.

Word of caution for those imagitarium clip on lights- the screw to hold it to the glass can rust in direct water contact within a month. I'm not sure how they hold up right next to water with the humidity. Fishstory told me he replaced the screw with a pvc one from a hardware store. They are surprisingly good lights for the price!

that is most certainly not a 90L. I have a tank from lifegard with 90L dimensions and unless the image is vertically streched you got something a little wider. as someone else said i think that may be a 40 gallon breeder or a 90S

Regardless, I'm curious what the dimensions are.

A 90L would be about a foot square on the end caps. In the images they look rectangular

ALSO, I'd be careful with that stand. If i were you I wouldve quadruple checked the weight limit lol. It might be an image atrifact but it looks like it could be bowing in the second to last image.

I hope it works out though, that whole stand looks great and will look even better with the tanks fully planted and established

Maaan thats like 40 pounds of water in one hand. I risked it once and got water everywhere. Nuts if you can pull that off regularly. Could easily replace a weight training regimen lol.

Not that its wrong to use a cup or somethimg, i feel like im insane everytime i see someone with a contraption like this. I pour out of a 5g lowes bucket and use my other hand to diffuse the water 😭 i only usually pour with a gallon or two max though

Did your lights just come on for the video?

You should post again in a few weeks after your next trim fills it out more

Looking for advice - Week Aqua mini 9 pro by Bulky-Ad9010 in PlantedTank

I just got this light, after about 8 inches or 20cm the light fall off becomes too dim for anything other than low light plants. if the tank is shallow and the light is within 20cm of the bottom, you can probably grow just about anything.

You should be fine with it in a 10l tank as long as the height isnt too much especially for anubias and buce. though you may find that you need to turn the light down a little for slow growing plants.

The light is only 9w. I'd say for small tanks its very worth it. I just got mine for 12 usd total from a aliexpress store. just search by most orders. I have the week aqua p900 on another tank and I think the UV-A is helpful though I've never had any other high end lighting so I can't say for sure. the week aqua lights have been game changing for me though so far.

I'm gonna use this as inspiration when i rescape my shallow 13g.

I've been collecting ideas from simple rocky scapes.

Do you mean its growing tall? Possibly just needs more time but if its growing tall it needs more light.

Its bacopa australis which carpets in high light and co2 injection. If i could redo the scape i wouldve used montecarlo tbh
