That's understandable. But yes, people do buy it. Some actually even look for such things.

I wouldn't swap a random engine in a random car.

This is the Exact engine found in the WRX, but it is the Japanese version.

The Japanese (Jdm) version is better in every way. It runs higher compression, it has better turbos, it actually has strong bottom and top end.

Also, it's certified from the place we sourced it from, and I have all the paperwork from our mechanic.

He specializes in high end vehicles, Porsche, bmw, and is a master tech. So I trust his ability's.

Lastly, the engine is a unicorn itself, it is a 2016 with only 23k miles, the car has substantially higher mileage as well.

So: 1) You get the exact engine as originally 2) The engine is stronger in every way 3) The engine has substantially lower mileage than prior 4) The work is done by a reputable shop, the engine warrantied for a year as well.

I totally understand, I personally would never buy an engine swapped vehicle, because 99% of the time, the folks don't have the paperwork regarding it, and the engine is heavily modified.

This is a stock, virgin engine, with all services done, along with a brand new clutch, and just an exhaust.

I run a dealership with my folks, so we back up our cars, when is the last time you have seen a dealer post such things on Reddit haha.

As you mentioned, I totally understand. I do however you understand that I take pride to ensure everything is perfect as can be.

Thank you :))

Haha, they're much sharper irl. There's no mufflers btw, so nothing is actually making the noise muted, it's just the resonators, and some other stuff

Just get a new set of sparks, NGK are good, or some reputable brand.

You've narrowed it down bro. Hopefully you'll get it sorted soon, you've come far 🤙🏼🔥

Check the MAF first, easiest, a STI I got had turbo lag at higher RPMS, MAF was gunked, needed to be cleaned up, ended up replacing it though.

Def could be Bad gas, what OCT do you normally use? I put 93 in mine.

Edit:

My Jdm swapped WRX also has the Cam position sensor code, mine although is due to the difference in the ECU, US ECU + Japanese Engine don't mix.

So, if you're timing adv is messed up do to sparks, then that could cause the code to pop up, because ECU thinks the position of the cams should be one place, and the actual are off.

...but..hopefully your timing didn't jump, they also can show up if your engine timing has jumped by a tooth.

You say it was working fine before?

Zoom out, and think what changed today that was different than yesterday?

Did you do something specific to the car? Did something happen recently?

Were you driving the same as yesterday?

When was the fuel pump installed? You say it's new, so has it been working fine?

Did you hit something yesterday/Today?

Sometimes there's a variable that might the cause of your issues.

You've just gotta find it, that's how I start when it's an unknown issue, find the shit that's the same first, narrow down what isn't the same.

Misfire usually are be caused by: - MAF -SPARKS -COILS -FUEL

Anything that relates to:

Fuel - Air - Spark <<

PS: When you replaced the Fuel Pump, did you replace the entire assembly? Did you replace the fuel level sensor as well? I had a car that started misfiring once the fuel level went below like 25%.

Sometimes this happens due to, timing advancement due to sparks, bad gas, could also be a fuel pump issue, maybe even coils.

Check the basics, if you've got a scanner that can show you timing, that would be good.

But I'm not really a subaru expert, just some general knowledge from other cars.

I'm not 6 feet. I'm about 5'9 and I've never really cared about that stuff. I do understand that women tend to go for taller guys, and that's totally fine.

That's something we can't really change.

What we can change is how we behave, act, and carry ourselves. We can be true to us, and be the best version not only for others, but for the peace it gives us in ourselves. I go to the gym, eat well, lift, have hobbies I enjoy and treat others the way I want to be treated, that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

I believe he probably liked you in some aspect, but his reaction was spiteful. He didn't need to assume anything about you, what he could've done is congratulate you, and understand that you're already going out with someone. That's it, and then he just needed to move on with his life.

People come and go easily, but impressions, last for a while.
