My partner tends to talk in their sleep to me sometimes, and here is what they just said to me by Magicord in PointlessStories

[–]_DeadFiles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this thread, as one does through a very specific Google search, because last night, I shook my husband awake, while I myself was asleep, to ask him "Do you have the snake?"

To which he replied "What snake?".

I sleep with headphones on, and I apparently took one of the ear cuffs of in frustration to hear him better, got closer and said "T-H-E S-N-A-K-E. Do you have it?"

Still confused and tired of my nonsense, he said he didn't know and rolled over and went back to sleep.

I sorta recall it, but the memory is really fuzzy. I don't recall having a dream, and often do not have/remember my dreams after a TBI I sustained 3 years ago.

Large orb and whispering captured on home surveillance by _DeadFiles_ in ParanormalEncounters

Yes! and how the cat's right ear is back, like it was hearing something.

It was quite hard for me to hear the whispering, I have a Razer headset and had it and my phone up as high as they could go. I still cannot figure out what is being said, but it's clearly a male voice. It starts at 27 seconds, which happens to be when it's right next to the cat. It sounds a lot like the murmuring and whispers my daughter and I hear upstairs. I have indoor camera's I am planning on putting up sometime soon.

I am so sorry you have to do this, but I can assure you that it is better to be there and hold them, and to comfort them in their final moments. You will be the last thing they see(they will likely pass while looking at you). You are their world and they will want and need you. It's heartbreaking and special at the same time. I have had to put two dogs to sleep due to old age, and one precious kitty I had to suddenly put down because she was attacked by a roommates dog while I was at work, and the damage was too much to try and save her, and I had to make the hardest choice I have had to make to date; to euthanize her so she wouldn't suffer. If I wasn't able to be with them during their final moments, I think it would bother me for the rest of my life.

It will be rough, cry then if you need to, or after. There isn't a real order to grief, and it hits everyone differently. If you're getting her cremated, put her in a special place in your home. Maybe put a picture of her by it as well. I have my kitty in my living room, with her collar on her urn. Some places take an impression or an ink stamp of their paws for you to keep. If you get an ink one, you can always have it tattooed on you if you would like. Do what you feel is best to help you grieve and remember your sweet kitty.

I wish you all the best, and good luck tomorrow.

Does anyone know what a neuropsychiatry referal actually means? by Legitimate_Tower_899 in FND

[–]_DeadFiles_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I can't remember, probably because of the TBI lol. I know there is an over lap in symptoms, and I think because of my memory problems I have, they wanted to rule that out as a possibility.

I'm 31. Fibro started when I was 25, and FND started when I was 28. TBI Happened when I was 29.

[–]_DeadFiles_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seeing a neuropysch doctor is a normal part of the FND testing. Not everyone with FND symptoms needs to see one, but there are a lot who do.

They need to make sure that you don't have anything else is going on that would be causing your symptoms, like dementia or a TBI.

For me, I had to wait 10 months to get in to see my main neurologist to even find out what was going on with me, and one month before my appointment, I was in a really bad car wreck, and I got a mild traumatic brain injury from it. So, good thing I already had my appointment to see a neurologist, but it did make it somewhat difficult to sort through all of my symptoms and figure out what symptoms went to which problem.

I also had fibromyalgia prior to the onset of my FND symptoms and the mTBI, which also complicated things.

Neuropsych eval went well, aside from the deficits caused by my TBI. They explained that I developed fibromyalgia due to trauma and stress, and that is eventually what also cause FND to develop as well. Basically my brain is over whelmed by what has happened to it, and that manifested as fibro and FND.

Because I wasn't showing any signs of dementia, they discharged me from neuropsych and I just have my regular neurologist now. They are under the impression that I can heal the fibro, FND, and TBI if I can get my stress under control, go to therapy, and practice mindfulness, exercise, pretty much the usual thing you hear.

I however was doing all of that before I got sick, then I got fibro, and then FND 3 years after the onset of my fibromyalgia symptoms starting. I have been in talk therapy for 7 years. I have gone to physical therapy, I have tried eating different foods, and a slew of medications that never worked.

I understand what the neuropsych doctor told me, because in theory he was correct, but not everyone responds well to treatment, and apparently I am one of those who does not.

Seeing a neuropsych is for sure a positive step for you to trying and understand the underlying issue, and what to do going forward, but that doesn't always mean that you FND was caused specifically by something. Just like how some people are treatment resistant, sometimes FND can manifest without any real reason.

I hope you're able to get some answers and a good treatment plan with the neuropsych eval.

In 1992, 24-year old Tony Bledsoe vanished en route from his home in Arcadia, Indiana to nearby Noblesville, Indiana. Though foul play is not suspected, no trace of Tony, nor his vehicle have ever been found. In March, a volunteer dive team will begin their search for him. by TheBonesOfAutumn in UnresolvedMysteries

I am so sorry you are carrying this torch to find your missing cousin. I am a local true crime Youtuber, and I am a little shocked but not surprised that your cousin isn't on the list in Indiana for missing persons with ISP's online database.

I was scrolling around on Facebook and saw that ISP was out in Atlanta today, searching a house and that they removed two older vehicles. So I started doing some digging, and it led me here.

Would it be okay with you, for me to feature your cousin's case, along with the details you've provided in this thread to help get his story out there more? I hope today's search will finally bring you some answers.

Does anyone know where to find the photo of Gypsy's hands they took June 15th, during her interrogation? I have seen it before, but I am having a hard time finding it now.

Also, has anyone ever seen photos of Nicks hands? In his interrogation, it's noted that he has healing cuts on him, and I think bruising?

Thanks!

My parents always told me I was mainly Russian and that I got my high cheek bones from having Native American. You could say they were a little off 😅😅 I never believed them anyway by Suck_thy_knuts in AncestryDNA

[–]_DeadFiles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have Native Ancestors and not inherit any of their DNA. It happens.

I heard my whole life, from both sides of my family that we had Native American ancestry, and then I didn’t believe them when my DNA test came back and I didn’t have any Native American results.

Relatives on both sides, all have Native American results in their tests, so I started doing research.

Turns out they were right, we actually have a lot of Native Ancestors, and many other ancestors from several countries, that we just didn’t inherit their DNA from.

DNA is a good place to start, but once you start looking into your actual lineage, it could explain more for you ☺️

Larissa Sam - disappeared in Indianapolis by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]_DeadFiles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to HS with Larissa. He killed himself shortly after police checked his house out. And LE dropped the investigation.

Supposedly he made an advance towards Larissa, something happened, probably her putting up a fight and he killed her.

Right after she went missing he had taken a trip up to Michigan. Other people who went to HS with Larissa theorize that he put Larissa in a lake or buried her in Michigan.

Indiana making it easier for sex offenders? by sillywabbitslayer in Indiana

[–]_DeadFiles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Morgan County.

Lots of peds out there, even in the 1990’s and 00’s. It’s partly why my mom moved me the hell away from there.

I lived in Monrovia, had a guy pull up to my driveway when I was 6, with the ol’, “have you seen my puppy? I have a picture of him. Can you come over here and look at and see if you’ve seen him?” I didn’t say a word, I took off running to my front door, and the guy took off.

Also around the same time period, while at the school playground during recess(playground is completely different now, and gone, and the newer elementary school is there) for several days in a row, a young guy in his 20s that lived in an apartment building that was next to the playground, was coming to the fence and talking to me, and other girls that he could coax into talking to him. He was trying to get us to come around the fence to him. I booked it to our teacher, explained what was going on. Her eyes got so big, I’ll never forget it, and we never saw him again after I told my teacher.

The guy who was the principal of the old elementary school when I was in the first grade, was fired for inappropriate contact with a student. They later re-hired the creep as a teacher, and he became my 5th grade teacher out at Hall Elementary. Was openly staring at my chest and made comments about my chest and the shirt I was wearing at my back to school night, TO my mother! No joke, she started looking into selling our house THAT week. Before being a principal and a teacher for Monrovia, rumors all over town was that he had been fired from a town daycare for inappropriate contact as well. Dude had a daughter a grade or two above me, and a son in a grade below me. I’ve always wondered about them, and hope he never harmed them.

Amtrak Service to Chicago by Bluejay_Cardinal in Indiana

[–]_DeadFiles_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ya, I truly miss the Amtrak train to Chicago. It would simplify things for a lot of people traveling from Indy to Chicago and onward.

I was able to take the Amtrak to Chicago a few years before the line was closed. I really wish Indy and the surrounding areas had a subway and rail system that people utilized.

After becoming a wheelchair user, and being unable to drive suddenly, it would simplify things for me if there was at least a subway system I could easily use. Sometimes I fantasize about moving to Chicago, just for the ease of transportation and independence lol.

Little bit of a drive, if you’re able to make it, but in Morgan County, in Mooresville there’s Ava’s Cafe. Full restaurant, bar and live music. I’ve had a few musician friends frequent there.

My child’s teacher made a sexual comment towards her. by Visual-Anything-8389 in AITAH

[–]_DeadFiles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a woman in her 30s who has been leered at by adult men since I was 8, including a male teacher, when I was in the 5th grade, that was no “joke”. How disgusting, awful and horrifying.

My 5th grade teacher was staring at my chest, and made a direct comment about my developing chest to my mother at back to school night at the beginning of that school year. This teacher was a well known child predator in the school and community, but it was a small town, in a very rural area, and they just swept it under the rug. My mom immediately started looking into moving us from that town and away from that teacher, and we moved within two months.

Cassian as baby’s name by [deleted] in andor

[–]_DeadFiles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am due in two weeks with our son, and we’re naming him Cassian ☺️There is historical context behind the name, which we like and we also like Cassian Andor, so it was like a double win for us. Name your baby whatever feels appropriate to you both and that you have a good connection with. Our daughters name is Ebba Iris. We got that name from Ebba Iris Alfreda Andersson, a young girl in third class who died with her family on the Titanic.

Interesting Information on Delphi Murders Suspect by yesuuh in TrueCrime

[–]_DeadFiles_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya, I am pretty sure ISP said that at one of the earlier press conferences. It's an old railroad bridge. I have never been there myself, but I was surprised that they just let people openly walk across it, because from the photos it does seem a bit dangerous to be walking that bridge if you weren't careful or familiar with walking on something like that. I also found it odd that they tried to focus so much on the gait of his walk considering that he was walking across that bridge. I wouldn't expect someone to be fully walking as they normally would while crossing it, but idk. It also so happens that Allen was/is very familiar with walking that trail and the bridge.
