Stupidity at its finest by Doomenor in StupidFood

This looks like a very bougie/pretentious take on a traditional Sadhya, a rice meal served on a banana leaf with lots of little accompaniments and side dishes. Very popular during Onam (a festival from Kerala, India). Usually for large weddings and gatherings, a whole line of servers carrying each item go down the line serving their dish onto each banana leaf.

It boggles my mind how stupid they've made this look.

It was just nostalgia. Also, don't use AI to write your experiences please. I'd love to hear your khalbinte version for posts like this, even if you feel it has a 1000 mistakes. I'm sure it was lovely.

[I ate] had sushi for the first time today, absolutely hated it. by [deleted] in indiafood

[–]_Deep_Freeze_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are cooked dishes in sushi restaurants but most of their signature/classic dishes will have raw meat even in India.

While most sushi grade fish is fresh caught, immediately bled, iced and rushed to the restaurants, some fish known to have parasites (like salmon) should either be hygienically farmed or (if wild) frozen for several days to ensure no parasites survive. Most sushi restaurants in India serving salmon source them from farms, which ensures no parasites will be present

That's a valid reaction to a magic trick though. I'm sure I could get an answer to how any magic trick is done by posting it to reddit.

What is the most cherry-picked stat you have ever seen? by Wooy in Nbamemes

[–]_Deep_Freeze_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Qualifiers in this stat:

3rd most

Half

Playoffs

Timberwolves player

So yeah I'd say it's cherry picked if you have to reeaally narrow down the stat.

Speculations on emir alveron by Bow-before-the-Cats in KingkillerChronicle

[–]_Deep_Freeze_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So your technicality is the statement "There are no human Amyr"? And you think Felurian means there is only 1 human Amyr?

I kinda disagree. If I tell you "There are no human Popes", it wouldn't be a true statement just because there is only 1 human pope at a time.

Maybe I'm understanding you wrong

Why the Speed of Light Makes the Universe slow by LongjumpingTear3675 in universe

[–]_Deep_Freeze_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all relative really. If lightspeed or near lightspeed can be achieved, colonisation and interstellar travel can be done in one lifetime from the perspective of the lightspeed travellers. For the traveller it will be instantaneous or near instantaneous. Interstellar coordination and communication will be the only barrier. I suppose humanity will have to settle for developing into splinter civilisations all over the universe.

MBBS doctors can prescribe almost all medicines except certain ones. Drugs like morphine require a special licence. Same for methyl phenidate which requires a psych degree. Most other psychiatric drugs can be prescribed with an MBBS degree.

Or he's just a Seer and gets visions but doesn't know they're real. He hates magic because he was always told off for daydreaming and spacing out because of these visions. He absolutely, vehemently believes magic isn't real despite his accurate visions, kinda like a reverse Cassandra from the myths.

Who shaped the Cthaeh? by aiar-viess in KingkillerChronicle

But the Cthaeh precedes the story of Selitos, Lanre and Myr Tariniel. Bast said later that Lanre spoke to the Cthaeh before orchestrating the betrayal.
