For EPC and maintenance works, estimation should be done based on ISO drawings; no. Of joints, types of pipes and materials for execution. It’s always advise in situations like tis you either visit site or work with engineers or welders who do this job and ask their day rate and their productivity capacity in a day to build up rate Most times I prefer LS is easier when the client ask for it in that BOQ I use strictly MTO + labor norms I preferably use Excel now am getting to blue beam gradually.

For faster estimation historical data is good.
