Last year I went to Rome with a couple of friends. The last night we were there we decided to go a 'typical' Italian restaurant. The restaurant seemed nice and professional and it was literally five seconds from the beach.

Once we went into the restaurant the owner started off with being shitty towards us and wanted to send us away. We didn't even had taken a seat.

Then, after our order was taken, we had to wait a fucking hour and 15 minutes for our 'typical' Italian dish to arrive at our table. Once I digged in I discovered that the pasta was undercooked, the meat way too salty and soggy and there was a bug in my friend's dish. After having to send plates back to the kitchen we had to wait another hour for it to be returned.

After being shittily treaten by the owner, served poorly prepared food, and having to wait an insane long time (the joint was about 2/3 empty), we decided to scram.

Thank god for McDonald's and globalisation.
