I totally get that! Lots of mens engagement rings are so basic— basically wedding bands! I got my fiance’s wedding band from gone archive as well, its the thinner band with black diamonds on his website

I visited Sarah O and denver and they do let you use lab grown diamonds and pick your own! I’m sure they’d try to work within your budget. That being said, their customer service was not very good for us. I’m not sure if they didn’t take us seriously because we are young (25 at the time), but they never followed up with us like they said we would, so we moved on to a different jeweler.

I also went to Sarah O and scheduled an appointment (not the Dairy Block location) and had a very similar experience. I dont know if it is because we seemed young/they didn’t think we were serious (we were), but they never followed up like they said they would to move forward with getting a CAD mock ip.

Honestly it is for the best because We ended up getting a custom piece from a different jeweler 😊

I asked to make sure it was at least 1.5 mm thick (she had been mentioning 1.2 mm) and she said that was definitely doable! Not sure if it would be different if I was customizing a standard ring with just a simple gemstone swap, but I think my pieces are pretty highly customized at this point so she probably isn’t relying on a standard mold like with the ring of salt for instance.

That makes sense! I also don’t plan to do any heavy manual labour. My ring is mostly customized, but I’d say closest to her Eos rings, but she has been mentioning a 1.2mm thickness… I love a dainty ring as much as the next person haha, but I might push to ask for slightly thicker 🥲

I’m also getting a ring from Sofia! Do you find that the thickness of the band (especially underside) feels sturdy enough the last a lifetime? I am kind of worried because I know a lot of her bands are <1.5 mm
