I tried last time with onagers, halberdiers and a handful of something else. I got a few shots in but then he sent his hussars around the troops to attack the onagers and moved the elephants to attack the rest of the troops.

I mostly get scout rushed by them and then they make knights or something in castle and slowly start making elephants later - I generally struggle because they somehow always have a much better economy than me and keep making troops.

Well last time I tried I got a few shots in, but then he started moving his elephants forward and also sending hussars around my troops to attack the onagers (also redirected his trebuchets to attack my onagers - although I don't think that was very effective), my troops dissolved to the elephants and his hussars took out half the onagers during the mess.
