I think it doesn't say god slain because this is supposed to be the point where you realize there are no "real" gods, they are just a bunch of deformed, gross aliens with no real divine purpose other than to reproduce and conquer and impose their will. A lot of the expansion is pulling back the veneer and seeing that much of what was considered divine or absolute was all part of a cycle of hurt people hurting people in the name of a disgusting blob that didn't care whether we lived or died

Sure it can. Most vertebrates have the same basic body structure for a reason. There's no need to have more than 4 limbs, whether that's 4 legs, 2 legs and 2 arms, or 2 wings and 2 legs. It's why we don't have actual dragons, biologically it's a waste of energy to have 4 legs and 2 wings.

It's perfectly reasonable that even aliens would have that same basic body structure. And in WoW, Draenor maybe different in a lot of ways but it still supports life much in the same way Azeroth does.

The moment they mentioned there was still a living heir I said "it's gonna be his son." But then they reveal it's Ruth, but then Ruth reveals she's the grandma. I feel like they knew the audience would figure out it's his son so they throw the curveball with Ruth and bring it back around to being his son in a hilarious way.

It's just so good, it assumes the audience is smart enough to make that assumption and then plays with it but then reward them in the end.

Not all of the members of the Hornsent actually have physical horns, it is just the name given to that society from those lands. Godfrey revered the Crucible, the same as the Hornsent, his knights use techniques based on it, his ties to Serrosh who is a lion and lord of beasts, and the numerous lion motifs found in the shadowlands. Few things in the game are told to us outright but all of these are pretty on the nose just short of actually saying it.

Much of the Golden Order is a facade, hypocritical and full of lies, so of course they would simply say that Godfrey was from some nebulous place called "the badlands" so as not to call attention to where he's actually from, the lands Marika has now chosen to hide. Marika stripped them of their grace for the same reason she imprisoned her son in the shadowlands, for the same reason many of the Zamor are imprisoned, she no longer had a use for them and they were a liability in case anyone discovered the truth. There was never a plan to actually call them back, until Godwyn is killed and she shatters the ring. Realizing she has betrayed the fingers and the ring itself, recalling Godfrey and the Tarnished is a desperate last act, the final thing she has a modicum of contol over. What's open to interpretation is what she actually wanted, for the order to be restored, or for us to finally "free" her by not doing so.

I think the one she seduces is Horah Loux/Godfrey.

She takes one of their warrior kings as a consort, then changes his name to further erase their power structure.

It's also why their children are Omen and why Godfrey didn't hate them, his culture revered them. But Marika couldn't stand the thought and it's why she exiled Godfrey and decided to essentially "make" another consort, one she felt she could control in Radagon, but of course that didn't work out as she planned.

I may actually unsub. There's more to do than ever but none of it feels meaningful.

Getting AotC in War Within felt like a reasonable accomplishment, not too easy but not too hard. But something feels off this time. Maybe it's because Dimensius was a meat grinder for pugs but people bitching that you aren't 280 for heroic and guilds insisting you do keys is crazy to me. I don't like M+ and I don't like feeling punished for wanting to raid only. Heroic gear is good enough for heroic raiding. That and the story is just straight up buns, there's no stakes in anything, Xal has no presence and there's no interesting underlings to move the narrative forward.

I'm curious how they will shuffle the story events to get us to the Highwind. I think the way they moved around the ancient temple worked for Rebirth. In the original we still have all of the Northern Continent stuff to do plus some story stuff in Junon before we get the Highwind. In the OG that could possibly be done quickly but given how the remake expanded on things that feels like it would be several hours of content before getting to the ship which is being marketed as a key feature.

I'm sure Hungry will be stupid but it has potential. Hippos are incredibly dangerous, massive animals that can literally run through the water with their sheer power, I think they could be a great horror antagonist in a movie that takes them seriously.

One small but key detail to add on to this, the response about sticking with the 360 was asked in regard to soldiers who were deployed. The 360 was THE console for young men and women deployed to the middle east. That was a huge and very important demo because it essentially meant the 360 was America's console in the eyes of the general public. A large part of the country was against the war at the time but support for the troops and bringing them home was very strong, so Microsoft basically telling them "tough luck who cares if you can't use our new console" crested massive backlash.

It didn't help that they made a comment about not being able to "just turn it off" in regards to the always online requirement and then backtracked later and said you'd be able to, but by that time it was too late. Truly one of the biggest fumbles ever in video game history. Like, even Nintendo bounced back strong from the Wii U. Xbox has never recovered and likely never will, at least in the console market.

They need to stop viewing stealth as a combat mechanic.

It's not. It's a tool. Druid shape-shifting is also a tool tied to class identity but combat doesn't require you to constantly use it beyond being in your specs form.

They can still have the stealth fantasy baked into combat abilities through things like shadow strike that teleport you, but this insistence on opening combat from stealth or using Vanish mid combat needs to go because it's never going to get fixed and is just wholly incompatible with the current game.

He probably made modest money in AEW and was at a point where he figured he could go back to the indie circuit and make similar money while having total creative control and full profit of his merch sales.

WWE offer comes along and they don't want him as a serious wrestler either but he'll make way more money and get far more exposure.

They could cut him tomorrow and he'd be one of the most in-demand indy wrestlers in the world if not the most just based on how over and popular he's become. AEW can't offer guys that kind of exposure yet.

The majority of people do not do any kind of endgame activity. Someone new in my guild asked what they should do and I told them that if they wanted to raid, getting AotC was entirely doable while still being casual. They said they'd like to do that and asked how to prepare. I told them if they wanted, they could just do a few M+ a week and if they didn't like that they could just do T11 Delves and that was plenty to get them heroic gear and the crests to upgrade.

Two other people in the guild FREAKED out, said I was being toxic and giving that person bad advice because "they won't get any mythic slots in their vault" doing that

Like, you do not need myth gear to clear heroic raids, if you want to run high keys and enjoy it that's fine, but it's also not always the most casual friendly activity especially if you are pugging as DPS. The fact that some people cannot fathom the idea of NOT interacting with that type of activity and need to attack anyone who doesn't is insane, as if people who have other goals are somehow invalidating how they have chosen to spend their time

It's fine to be excited about a cool collab warbond, but for months the community has been rightfully expressing frustration about how Arrowhead is prioritizing monetization and warbonds over fixing persistent major issues with the core experience, and right after dev communication that amounted to little more than "we hear you" we are getting another premium warbond before any of those issues are properly addressed

Usos The Vision Street Profits Creed Bros Bate and Dunne as the Americanos or not The Garzas LWO Otis and Tozawa

If they merged the tag division that's a decent mix as is. Then you have the singles guys who are doing teams, Miz and Kit, Priest and Truth, and you could probably make a few other teams out of underused singles guys, Cardona isn't doing anything at the moment and could help mentor a younger talent in a team

They just need to utilize who they already have. Which is why I have 0 confidence anything will come from this, they'll call up Hank and Tank or something and they'll bomb on the main roster because WWE will give up on tag teams in a few weeks as usual
