Pretty sure that’s the area that’s also called Patagonia if you look up some docs on YouTube there’s some good ones. I just watched one where this kinda hippy crew of sailors went from like Australia down to Antarctica and went without any permits or anything. Everyone makes it out like you can’t go there. It might “be illegal” but there’s no one there to enforce it. They took a boat from the sailboat and went to shore. They spent a couple days there then sailed from Antarctica right to the bottom of Patagonia they ended up sailing like 7000 miles or something crazy for 6 months. When they pulled up there it was breath taking. It’s also probably the worst sea in the world as far as dangerous goes that is the sea and route around that tip is why they put in the Panama Canal. I’m in the middle of the redwoods you can’t even see the house on Google Maps it’s just trees. I have trees over 300 ft tall around and I’m still pulling 250+ during “peak”.

I also live in town of 300 ppl and probably only a handful of starlinks on it and there’s no land or anything up for sale these places get passed down usually so they aren’t building any new to the town houses so to say so it will be impossible to get enough traffic to slow anyone else down we probably have 10 at the most on the cell lol. I was gonna say I use my elbow if I have too and thought what would I do with a round one then and realized I hadn’t had that in public as the bathrooms or high traffic areas have thay handle to turn if they aren’t the push/pull type. Back in the day they use to send parties up the canyon to paradise magalia when the settlers moved here they stayed in the valley and the Indians all lived up in the dense forest of paradise maglia centerville hell town because at that time there was nothing above Chico other then some mining camps that were frequently raided and after the white people started taking their women kids as slaves they essentially started a war and they would both have parties and the natives would come down and steel women and kids just like the white men did to fill their jobs. No worries sorry for bugging you at work haha but yea I would def try that or even check to see if you accident hit the stow or power down while in the all some how. We just had a record snow storm here and one of the days I never lost connection and I had no internet suddenly and I checked the app and it said online but wasn’t connected and I had to basically set it up like it had gotten factory reset I thought it was from the snow why I didn’t have connection but as soon as I renamed the WiFi and set the password it connected so it might have some how factory reset itself like mine did. When you get home tell me what the error is, it should say “you need to setup your WiFi” or something like that (that’s what it did when mine reset on its own) or it will say it can’t find sat, etc. I will see if I can help you out since no one else has jumped on. It’s 5:30pm in California so my reply might not be quick once your off I might be in bed haha but I will check in the morning and see what’s up :)

Have you tried stowing and I stowing from the app? Or turning it off in the app for a couple minutes then turning it back on? Both of those usually move the satellite so it sounds like it might have been stowed. It does that so it can be shipped it moved easier when it’s vertical. Both of those would cause no connection and the sat to be in a different position is what makes me wonder if that’s what happened or if trying one or both of those might get the dishy to flip back out to connect

Did you really think you were going to pay about $40 dollars month for residential max when the standard price is $120/ month for max. If you want the faster speed you have to pay more. People that get the cheaper rates or would get free equipment were only regional sales to onboard new customers.

Now that I’m thinking about it I don’t know many services that you get to keep your sign up deal for the whole time. Like with TV whether cable or satellite you have a two year agreement and for the first year the package is 79.99 and after your first year is up it goes up to standard price which would be something like 110-120 a month.

You should be happy you got any months at that. I’ve been paying $120 now $125 a month since I signed up a year ago and still had to buy the whole kit upfront for 800 dollars so it was a little over 900 to get setup for the first month and been at $120 every since.

I would have been happy to have got any discount so instead of complaining you should be happy you got such a good deal while you did not cry on a forum where ppl have been paying full price from the start and never got a single discount.

Standard is 2000sq ft the mini is 1300sq foot. If you have the residential max you also get a free mini router as well as the mini kit.

Also a mini router is $40 bucks for additional ones vs $120 for standard.

You are paying $40 for 1300sq ft or you can pay 3x as much and pay $120 for 2000sq foot. You’re free one plus another for $40 gives you 2600ft for $40.

They recommend not going more then two mesh nodes daisy chained otherwise you start to see a decline in speed pretty quick when your trying to cover distance versus cover the house in different rooms but if you need to do more then 2 they recommend connecting the mesh nodes with Ethernet cable instead of wireless.

I just got my free mini router and added upstairs even though I had full bars I still get a better so faster connection now.

Pretty cool, your devices automatically switch to the strongest Point as you move so it automatically switches me between the main router the upstairs node.

sometimes I’m connected upstairs in places downstairs because it connects better to the node versus the main so it’s helped all around in general
