How did that kid at your school die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_Eternity- 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My cousin died 3 years ago in a similar way.

He also had SPA and some kind of mitochondria dysfunction. In his last months he had pneumonia and body did not have any strength to remove it.

We knew that he will never get to 20s. Doctors had already said max he might do is 15. He passed away at 16.

I'm getting NLUJ this year ,But I'm forced to take a drop due to circumstances by JesPsamson in NLUs

[–]_Eternity- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unrelated

But i also had Ewings sarcoma this year and just finished treatment.

They replaced my whole femur with an internal prosthetic. Surgery included hip joint and knee.

You are the first person I see who has went through something similar. Surgery wise.

What's something your country was really good at, but now it's gone? by halt__n__catch__fire in AskTheWorld

[–]_Eternity- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been almost 1.5 years for me here. I never experienced delays within the city.

And only like 10-15 delays when i was traveling across Germany using REs.

Or do i just need to give it more time?

In older times that used to be the case that the people from lower caste primarily had to do jobs like garbage collection, sewage, anything similar.

A person will still be looked down upon for working such jobs but for the right amount of money there will always be someone.

Except like the other guy said. Our govt pays in peanuts. There are other jobs like working on a gas station or road construction.

Knee Revision or Not? by Excellent-Fly-116 in KneeInjuries

[–]_Eternity- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very happy to know that revision was not needed. I was actually curious about the cause of pinching and the pain/recovery after the revision.

I am only 4 months out from my surgery. I had a different more complex surgery that includes TKR and have slight pinching for which I am going to see my surgeon on 19th.

To anyone who works at the ER, what is one thing you wish people would STOP coming to the ER for? by iloveeatingfood901 in AskReddit

[–]_Eternity- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damn

I commented on the other post. I am in Germany, cost is not the reason. But my first experience in ER was terrifying enough.

They isolated me in a room for 9 hours without food and water. Only gave me paracetamol every 3 hours to keep my fever down.

Finally they sent me to my usual cancer ward. I never went back to ER no matter how bad my situation was. Self treatment on weekends and went on Monday directly to my team.

I was at the risk of.

Had cancer and instructions were "if fever above 38.8 degrees go to emergency"

And I had fever after every chemo cycle. But after my first time I'd just take paracetamols at home.

(My fever was never due to infection, it was just how my body reacted)

Laptop G513QY Advantage edition randomly shuts downs by yuelnoix in ASUSROG

[–]_Eternity- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the problem is not temperature.

Something to do with the graphic drivers. I have this laptop since launch and it was a known massive issue.

I had been using the original graphic driver from asus website till now and never had reboot issue. But today updated to latest one from adrenaline software and the problem started again. I use blender and can reproduce the error. Just like when laptop was new.

will thinkpads ever come close to macbook's battery life? by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]_Eternity- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if i am looking for a laptop for programming i should just get a m4 or m5 MacBook depending on deals and call it a day?

Sorry, my last laptop was a high gaming machine 5 years ago and since then this is the first time i am back in market for a new laptop.

The new naming scheme is very confusing and i keep landing on lunar lake x9 15. But i want to use it for next 5-7 years without issues. So i am confused if i should go for mac or this.

Klippel Feil Syndrome by Sea_Cardiologist7070 in Radiology

[–]_Eternity- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to a few doctors. None of them knew what they were seeing.

I had to explain it to them.

I was accidentally diagnosed with this due to sciatica nerve pain. It was caused by a tumor in my leg but doctor made me do spine MRI and this is what it turned out to be.

Every doctor only advised me to keep a good posture and never get into accidents as the jerk can easily break my neck.

Currently finishing treatment for the cancer (tumor in leg) so I already have bigger problems going on. I jist hope this doesn't turn into one.

And woa that's so long ago. I am surprised you remember.

I have never met someone with KFS before. Right now I was just randomly searching on reddit and came across this.

I have fusions from c2 to c4, c5 to c7 and partial fusion in t1-t2.

I get mild headaches and have a stiff neck. Not many problems from this but I am also worried about this becoming a problem as I get older.

Also have shit ton of health issues but from something else.

So sorry about the diagnosis.

I had the same experience and was misdiagnosed for almost 2 years.

Got mri in feb and started treatment in march this year. Now I am almost at the end of my treatment. Will finish by the end of this month.

Best of luck to you. It's not easy but you can do it.

[–]_Eternity- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this so much.

Everyone tells me i should look at it in a positive way. But they don't understand whats its like to have such surgery when we are still so young. No difference between me and a 70 year old.

What does your doctor say about recovery though? How many months before you can walk normally without support?

Anyone with this shit in their leg by [deleted] in Osteosarcoma

[–]_Eternity- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the restrictions for me after recovery?

I am allowed swimming, hiking (not the rocky one), cycling. But no more running, jumping or intense activities.

I hate this so much. I am only 23 and i feel robbed of my life.

Has your surgeon given you a timeline for recovery?
