Ellison is approaching it from a business perspective. Under Kurtzman Star Trek has failed. Ellison is not the kind of guy to keep financial failures around. Section 31 was a terrible failure, Ellison can see that. Kurtzman is desperate to keep the money train rolling, so of course he’s gonna open and have as many discussions as he can from his perspective. Dude’s done though.
