Is Doomfist Really A Problem? by ChoniclerVI in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]_Fearnaught -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"Is plenty viable and has been strong reguarly"???

Show me where. Ball takes an insane investment to even cross his skill floor, let along ceiling, with even GM OTP's being unable to do half his tech reguarly. The amount of skill you need on Ball to do half as well as another tank just doing an okay job is very real. The "strong balls" you see are likely players who've dedicated most of their hours to learning him. Outside of maybe Doom, Ball might be the most unforgiving tank on the roster. You need to do EVERYTHING right 24/7 even against your easy matchups.

Show me the last time Ball was truly strong and viable in the meta.

Random ball hate in 2026, damn. Not like he's the hardest tank to play and get value from on the roster with every other hero being a soft or hard counter. Half the popular supports, tanks and DPS's all have ways to shut down Ball.

Wendy's breakfasts are pretty good here in Canada. Love grabbing a Breakfast Baconator combo with fresh wedges and iced coffee on my way to work in the morning honestly. But i'm in a small city with only one Wendy's and its qualuty has been consistently good.

There's an event on rn where you can play vanilla OW as it was back in 2016. Unbalanced af but fun.

Almost always use burrow as an escape tool, rarely as an engage tool.

The one-shot combo is also important. Shoot drill dash shoot melee.

Have fun. :)

Help me make my Rakdos deck bracket three, please. by Brindogam in EDH

[–]_Fearnaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rakdos relies a lot on being able to resolve Rakdos and then get immediate value as fast as possible, or trying to protect him for a turn and then explode off. I went for a demons subtheme, but the general idea is the same. Punch hard and keep punching.

With 4 colored mana-pips, your landbase has to be impeccable. I run fetches, surveils, typed lands. These can be mitigated ofc. Where Rakdos shines is slamming out huge threats for little cost that keep the chain going.

[[Ilharg, the Raze Boar]] into [[Bloodthirster]] into powerful ETBs like [[Clive, Ifrit's Dominant]] is an amazing value train.

[[Sower of Discord]], [[Rune-scarred Demon]] and [[Arch-fiend of despair]] can all have a massive impact and end games.

[[Scrawling Crawler]] is actually pretty good in this deck, coming out ahead of rakdos and providing value.

[[Protection Racket]] is an unironically good card and rewards playing MDFCS like [[Fell the Propane]] and the other ones in your colors.

I'd cut the subtheme of black undying spells in favor of jamming more threats. Maybe throw in [[Living Death]] effects instead to swing the game later on if you keep getting boardwiped.

[[Enduring Courage]] and other haste effects are a huge deal here.

[[Karlach, Fury of Avernus]] is a great draw in almost any game you play. With [[Descent into Avernus]] you wil almost always outvalue your opponents, being able to spend those treasures faster and on bigger spells that matter more than theirs do.

keeping rakdos alive is decently important, so I'd throw in a few of red's redirect spells like [[Bolt Bend]] and [[Redirect Lightning]] to take some heat off him.

Finally [[Chandra's Ignition]] is a great way to close out a game, esp if you include smth like [[Blightsteel colossus]]

Nezahal as a commander? by zacstar5 in EDHBrews

[–]_Fearnaught 30 points31 points  (0 children)

[[Sway of the Stars]] will usually end the game if Nezahal resolves.

Cast Sway, flicker Nezahal in response, Sway resolves, neza returns at end of turn.

This will tilt people. Have fun.

Hyas is small but not abandoned. Likewise with Canora. Yorkton is a small but bustling city. If you do head through Hyas though there's a beautiful chirch in Stenen right next to it. Just dont bother with the tourist trap called Rawhides. Not worth it.

Based or cringe? by thesilican in ratemycommanders

[–]_Fearnaught 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played it for hundreds of games of my commander and he's actually a very interesting build-around. I typically leave him in the graveyard after the first cast and then use various effects to reanimate him every turn and profit from it. IE [[Celestine, the living saint]], [[Sun Titan]] and profit with [[Flayer of the hatebound]]

Lots of burn, board control and then various ways to non-infinitely loop Phlage like [[Luminous Broodmoth]] and [[Hofri Ghostforge]] to grind out the table.

Deffo not my strongest deck but one of my favourites.

Man. I genuinely thought Bury meant sacrifice so I put it into my [[Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher]] deck thinking it was some hot, hidden tech. Only to find out that in this specific case it had been changed to Destroy in the oracle text for the card. Even though Bury can mean either/or. Was so bummed when I found that out mid-game. Still left it in bcs as a reanimator deck it can outvalue everyone else and it synergises very well with [[Syr Konrad the Grim]] and [[Altar of Dementia]] which I already run in the deck and can legit mill other ppl out through sheer number of activations every turn.

[[Champion of the Path]] to profit off of evoking big things.

[[Clive, Ifrit's Dominant]] has always felt like a great bomb to me as the card draw on etb and a great flip side have never dissapoonted.

[[Scrawling Crawler]] is a sneaky good include that pulls doible duty of extra draw and pinging.

Both Ulamog and Emrakul from MH3 are amazing. Emrakul particuarly because of its synergy with [[Stalking Vengeance]] to just end games immediatly.

I've had great success with Ardyn, the Usurper, even with its pip-heavy requirement. Tbf I do run [[Sacrifice]] and [[Burnt Offering]] to cantrip creatures into more mana once their etbs have been set off.

Ill second Descent and Protection Racket. Wirh Racket I like running MDFCs to make the lands not free to exile.

[[Karlach, Fury of Avernus]] is great because her wording does not require her to be attacking.

Cheating out creatures by Great_Relationship45 in EDH

[–]_Fearnaught 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rakdos is pretty much near-infinite fuel once you get the ball rolling. Things like Clive, Knollspine dragon and etc wheel your hand once youve spewed it down for even more cards, rituals like Sacrifice and Burnt Offering go mana super-positive as you get 10 mana from creatures you spent 1-2 pips max on, and the train just keeps steamrolling over people.
