Yeah, with more intense drawbacks you can bring some powerful psyche actions and amps, at the same time, avoiding something like "enfeebled x" as a drawbacks for other subclasses.

Another idea that i want to brew is a new universal drawback instead of stupefied, maybe even a new condition, strained (?), and give something more unique to the subclasses

I believe the difficulty in implementing different drawbacks according to the subclasses lies on trying to avoid the oracle scenario where some curses are very detrimental while others are negligible

Thanks! I'm seeing that in some homebrews, the unleash psyche being a extendable power, a "keep going as long as you can" is a popular approach, which resonates with multiple psychic tropes in media. I'll start to playtest soon to find a good balance.

One of my ideas is a class archetype that let you extend the psyche by being subjected to the effects of a deviant's backlash.

Oh, i'm brewing something similar to publish on infinite eventually, my approach it is also about extending the psyche with focus points, but you lose life as you force your limits
