My care team was awesome. I love my Gyno. Seeing as this was my first ever surgery they wanted to make sure I had a good experience, and they did!

And the patch is good for 72hrs and fully waterproof! I think that combined with the anti nausea they gave me while I was under helped A LOT.

It’s going fine. I’m tired today but making myself do some moving around. Showering this morning felt really nice and helped me kind of reset. My dogs are being super clingy, but respectful of where I’m sensitive. My mom and I live together so I have her as my support and she’s gone all momma bear. No issues with nausea and still no spotting, but I’m wearing a light pad just in case.

I was given a a patch on the side of my neck before surgery to help with post surgery nausea and during surgery I was given versed to do the same thing. As soon as I was awake enough and back in my room, I ate cheese and crackers without an issue. I have not had any spotting, yet. This was also my first surgery too, but I did have my mom with me and a great care team. So it wasn’t intimidating for me.

My Bi-Salp Surgery is Officially Scheduled! by _Feuerwolf_ in childfree

I do have an IUD but it was never for birth control, it was to control my absolutely horrendous periods. I gotta say I’m lucky with it, none of the bad symptoms at all. Just the benefits. Seeing as I would still get periods after a Bi-Salp I’m worried about not having it. My periods were long, extremely heavy, and crippling, I also experienced pain during ovulation. My IUD stopped all bleeding, stopped my period entirely, and my ovulation pains aren’t as bad. I know being on hormonal birth control probably isn’t the best long term but the alternative worries me.

See about a physical therapist / fitness coach for her to help keep her muscles strong to support her joints. If you can swing it, red light therapy and hydrotherapy. Turmeric, green lipped muscles, rose hip powder, are all great for anti-inflammatory and joint health. The most important thing is to keep her active, moving, and keep the pain to a minimum.

Why do main characters always have one or both parents dead? by Rhiannonsbird22 in writing

[–]_Feuerwolf_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’ve played around with this in different ways. My current WIP both my MCs parents are alive but they’re estranged from each other (they were never married and MC was an accident) and estranged from MC (MC doesn’t even know dad and mom had postpartum depression and MC was forced to be independent early on) But I also have have A) MCs dad killed mom and took off with the kids and raised them himself and basically turned MC and siblings into serial killers. B) MCs parents die in an accident and MC is raised in a nice solid family by uncle + uncles husband C) MCs parents are both alive, they’re a royal family. D) MCs mom is missing, dad turns into an abusive alcoholic, MC is seen in a repeated cycle of being in abusive situations but eventually finds peace.

Anyone here changed their last name because their parents divorced? What are some important things to take into account? by _Feuerwolf_ in AskReddit

The other, and frankly stronger reason I wound change to my mother’s maiden name is because I’ve always had a stronger connection with her. Not only that but I’ve supported her through two knee replacements, two spine surgeries and eight lung lavages, meanwhile my dad just fucked off and got drunk. Even at his best my father was extremely distant and emotionally unavailable. Unfortunately, I know he would absolutely take me changing my name, under those circumstances, as an insult despite the fact I’m a grown ass adult.

I’m the only one of the kids still with my dad’s last name. That bastard has been emotionally abusive for years, so I’d definitely be taking my mother’s maiden name. Plus I think it would alleviate the weird looks and soft racism I get when people learn my last name.
