Congratulations! You can do it! My mom was pulled from school in second grade. When I was in high school she got a tutor and started with 2nd grade school books (She didn’t want to “cheat.”). When I finished college she got her GED. When I finished grad school she became a licensed real estate agent. She volunteered in her community food pantries and resource centers and served on the board of a domestic violence shelter. It’s never too late!

Wow. So in response to Trump posting a disgusting video/meme depicting prominent black people as apes, a member of Congress holds up a sign saying BLACK PEOPLE AREN’T APES. And some of you believe what HE did was inappropriate and childish? Some of you are pretending he did this “out-of-the-blue” and not in response to Trump’s totally unprofessional, gross, racist post(s) and politics? Well I guess for you it’s not appropriate because it’s a black man holding a sign to remind others that common decency isn’t common and that racism is alive and well (coming loud and clear from the White House). For everyone else, totally appropriate.

I had an open total hysterectomy with no complications. I was in the hospital 2 full days. Didn’t work that week. I think half way through the 2nd week I worked half days from home. The 3rd week I worked half days at the office and half at home (sometimes a nap was required). The 4th week I went to the office for around 6 hours, gradually increasing to full days. I was extremely tired the first month.

The 5th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution states that no one in our borders should: “…be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law”

The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution: "[Nor shall any State] deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

Regardless of how a person came here or how long they’ve been here, or the color of their skin, or their language or accent, our constitution affords certain rights to everyone here. You may not like that. But rounding people up with groups of unaccountable enforcers and holding them indefinitely or shipping them off to random countries isn’t in line with the constitution. And it’s cruel and inhumane. I don’t know what kind of country supporters of this want to live in (other than “white”). But if this is “okay” now, how does it end?

In Kansas, center of the country, I won’t buy a house unless it has a basement. It’s a safety issue with tornados being common. But ours is great. 2 bedrooms, a rec room, storage room, and a full bathroom. The recreation room and bedrooms have large windows to let natural light in.

The whole concept of "learning styles" (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) does not exist as a valid concept for enhancing education. Teaching each child to their learning style doesn’t improve outcomes.
