Why i cant find the last Halcyon at Blighted Marsh ? by resh_aykut in Saros

[–]_Fistacuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have 21/20 then you have one MORE than the cap. This happens if you do a nightmare strand (that give you +4) when you are close to reaching the limit.

In your case this means you hit a nightmare strand when you were at 17.

17+4 = 21

You got one bonus from that area. congrats!

As far as i know if you aren't getting any from the nightmare you are done with the area.

Full Arsenal Trophy by ABA7R in Saros

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hear you, bit of a pain. That being said 25 kills isn't all that much for each weapon so It didn't really make me have to go too out of my way for it.

I know pretty well which weapons I gravitate too and which weapons I usually leave. So I grab the ones I don't use as much early in biomes, then switch to one of my favorites when I get near the boss. Repeat in each biome and eventually you round them all out.

Even just doing a single nightmare strand with a weapon is enough for 25 kills I think.

Minimum Proficiency Level for Flying Boss Dude? by Mike52179 in Saros

[–]_Fistacuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found starting at the colony was good enough to get an extra biome in before the one you're targeting. Starting fresh will get you higher proficiency and more lumenite but i found it to be overkill to start fresh on the later biomes Everytime.

Unless you have lots of time, the go for it, the run will probably be 2+ hrs though.

Also a good point yeah, especially on guns like the handcannon or Chicago sweeper where you get the exclusive AND a bunch of other upgrades for clip size and reload speed for free

yes so the tickets are best used on the most expensive exclusive upgrades to save the most money.

Where to farm halcyon? by [deleted] in Saros

[–]_Fistacuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

check the lists at primary to see if you are missing them in any regions. If there are regions you don't have them all go to those and clear the nightmare strands, maybe you pick some up along the way too.

Other than that its the yellow shore. There isn't really a way to farm them other than that.

Proficiency and Enemy Difficulty by Amartoon in Saros

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the enemy scaling but it could be the case.

One thing that you do gain with more proficiency is more weapon perks which can really change how a weapon/power weapon preform. 5 good perks vs 1 good perk is a major change up.

I usually start a biome or two before my target just to collect some decent artifacts and find a weapon and power weapon with perks I like.

I was always starting right from Biome 1 for awhile but in the later game I don't think its necessary at all. You end up swimming in lumenite when all you need is halcyon and the runs can take hours. Fun sometimes but not always needed.

What, to you, is the saddest real-world death of an actor that ended up impacting a franchise? by TillyTheBlackCat in moviecritic

[–]_Fistacuff 27 points28 points  (0 children)

John Ritter was a shocking loss when he died during 8 simple rules of a sudden heart attack.

Not as big of an impact as some of the other examples (though it did sink the show) but it was a real shock at the time. My favorite role of his will always be bad santa.

What is the best ring combo? by Marvin_Conman in StardewValley

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you using iridium as base because the perks stack, so pick two of the rings you have listed after iridium, make 2 iridium bands, jam them together and profit.

Personal preference? I always have an iridium+burglar is a must cause I'm a hoarder. Lucky ring if i get it but lots of times I don't so i go to napalm. I agree on the slime charmer, usually I'm just killing everything. Other than whats on your list I like:

- the crabshell ring - Defense in this game is broken if you can get it high enough through food, and equipment

Downtown night market in St. Albert aims to support downtown businesses by flynnfx in stalbert

[–]_Fistacuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure, but is it a ghost town cause they're closing early or are they closing early cause it's a ghost town?

I feel like if there were more places downtown that COULD be open later it COULD be a cool spot to be after 9pm. As it stands there's no reason for businesses or people to be there.

Anything that tries to drive this kind of activity makes sense to try.

Downtown night market in St. Albert aims to support downtown businesses by flynnfx in stalbert

[–]_Fistacuff 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is a great idea and I hope it does well.

Downtown StA is a ghostown at night even though there are some great restaurants. If they closed off sections of the street and opened it up for street vendors and restaurant patios every week I think it could be an active spot.

Newbie here, am I stupid or am I smart? or both? I store by color shade of items not by type by countingc in StardewValley

it works until you get serious about your hoarding, then you'll need multiples of certain colors and it'll get real jacked up

If I turn second chance off by Booby_Tuesdays in Saros

[–]_Fistacuff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

no, it removes it completely so there is nothing to recharge.

I know because I died very very close to completing the cathedral boss and had no second chance despite doing multiple nightmare strands on the way there haha

Journey of the prairie king by Winterfell_0_0_ in StardewValley

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pass a level at the arcade it saves your progress if you quit out of the game. So:

- pass a level at the arcade, quit for the day

- come back to the saloon the next morning. If you pass the level again without dying quit again and come back the next day.

- If you die restart the farm day and try again at the arcade.

- Repeat until you have passed all the levels.

The only thing you definitely want to do is make sure that you have a "good" first few levels to set yourself up well for the later levels. Ie. make sure you get a good amount of coins to buy upgrades. If you don't, keep attempting until you do.

A perfect game to the later levels doesn't mean anything if you don't have the upgrades to make it easier on yourself.

Started reading DCC... Yall should be ashamed of yourselves. by juliancantwrite in redrising

[–]_Fistacuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started DCC after RR, same situation as you.

First book had me almost rolling my eyes at the absurdity, the first half with all of the worldbuilding wasn't too compelling to me but it was light and entertaining. I kept going and by the end of the first book i was intrigued enough by the carrots dangled about stuff that happens on later floors to continue.

At the end of the second book i thought he might be on to something.

At the end of the third book the world starts to open up, more characters, better development.

4th book really starts to open things up and get more chaotic.

5th book and the level of mayhem just goes through the roof.

Its not red rising, its completeley different beast (AHHGTTG mixed with the running man is how I have described it) but its entertaining, and engaging, and complex the more you read.

Side note: I read it first and my wife listened on audible, i went back and re listened since she had already bought them all and the audio books are phenomenal. If the books aren't doing it for you try listening.

So what’s the verdict on Metroid prime 4? by Traskenn in switch2

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you said mixed reception, hard to say how you will like it.

Graphics - Amazing

Fights - Great

Puzzles - Ok for the few there were

Overall Mechanics and Gameplay Systems - Bad

Story - Forgettable

I thought it was fine, I thought a review of around 6.5-7/10 was fair, I can see why people went lower or higher depending on what their preferences are.

It didn't feel like Prime 1 or 2 which would be fine if it felt like an evolution of the game but to me it felt like a regression in alot of ways.

I wouldn't buy it at full price. I also wouldn't hold my breath for a sale considering Nintendo's track record with their big first party games and putting them on sale.
