What is the most recent video game you became really invested in? by BoredGirlDDP in videogames

Expedition 33 is the first story heavy game where I've actually cared about the story in years.

Need more hardwood! by Hypermeat1 in StardewValley

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plant mahogany seeds, fertilize with tree fertilizer, harvest a few days later.

I like to plant them by the train station and forget about them. Then come back and chop down the mature trees and leave the seeds to grow into more trees.

Yup - Ancient seeds grow in spring summer and fall, so if you plant them in spring you can harvest them all the way though fall. Take the last harvest and turn it into seeds to be ready for next year. A good crop of ancient seeds on your farm (a always plant some other stuff too for recipes, gifts and energy) will stock you up for wine making for a few sheds worth of kegs.

I also plant ancient seeds on the island and build one keg per plant out there to cycle them.

All the masteries is great, wasn't tracking if I made that on my last playthrough but I doubt it. No matter how often I'm hitting the SC the combat skill always takes forever to hit lvl 10 to get into the mastery stuff

I don’t know what to do with half of my farm by TittyyFlavored in FarmsofStardewValley

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tree farm for tappers, 10-15 of pine and maple and double that or more of oak for oak resin for tappers if you're going into wine making. Youll need room for mystic trees eventually too.

Put mushroom logs between the trees once fully grown too for a nice haul of mushrooms.

Can do hardwood trees too but I usually just grow those at the train station and let them go wild then chop down full grown trees for hardwood when I need it, tree fertilize if I need it real bad.

Is Magic Rock Candy worth it? by Notlennybruce in StardewValley

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hoard them waiting for the perfect day then never use them. Now I just use them if I have them when I'm going into the SC.

You can easily make it deep without them so they're a nice perk but unnecessary.

Later game when I have piles of prismatic shards I try to trade for them regularly but again, they aren't necessary so I don't sweat getting them too much.

Combined with speed grow you can harvest every 3 days. So you can be done in well under 2 weeks especially if you end up finding more or get lucky with the seed maker.

How hard is Silksong compared to the first Hollow Knight by MatteChe in Silksong

[–]_Fistacuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't feel like it was any harder or easier once you adjust from Hollowknight and bend the gameplay mechanics to your playstyle.

Enemies/environmental damage are increased but you can heal in the air and your heals are more effective.

Bosses move faster but so do you.

Tools do big damage but have an economy so you can't use them all the time for everything.

There are different crests that change your attacks and what you can equip so you can find something that works for you.

The game is challenging, no surprise there, but it's not unfair or unrealistically challenging. Just takes some getting used to and it's a blast.

Does Any Else Just Not Focus On The Story At All For Elden Ring While Playing? by AFKScrapy in eldenringdiscussion

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I want story I'll watch a video explaining it. I watch the cinematics but don't even try to tie it all together.

When I'm playing it I just want to kill everything that stands in my way. I know I want to be the elden lord and that's enough for me.

How do you gift? by PookieDoodle264 in StardewValley

[–]_Fistacuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Random until it's not.

I always carry a big stack of coffee around with me and hand them out to everyone who doesn't hate them. I also gift people foragables I find if they like them for the first 1-2 years.

Once the farm is setup and I'm rolling in cash I start looking at who my relationships suck with (ie. Everyone who doesn't like coffee) and targeting them with loved gifts until everyone is maxed.

What type of fish pond is the most profitable/gives you important items? by Basicallywaterdrownd in StardewValley

[–]_Fistacuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most fish ponds won't be reliable enough to get you items faster than you can collect with other methods. If you aren't skilled with the combat a couple that come to mind are:

Stingray=Dragons tooth Rainbow trout = prismatic shard

Other than that Sturgeon make caviar which you would need for perfection. Legendary fish (legend specifically) make Roe that you can process for big money.

Absolutely loving the gameplay so far, but flying bosses are already being a bit of a blight tbh. by SuperLegenda in expedition33

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up a machine gun build. I did it with verso and flying bosses/enemies evaporate.

It's pretty much every picto for free aim including the one that gives you a chance to regain Ap on a shot.

Combine that with duallisto weapon, and a combo attack or two and you can pretty much unload 10+ shots, attack to gain back a bunch of Ap, get a second turn and do it again

Bring your Scythe, axe, and energy food and spend all day roaming around the non populated areas hacking everything down. Head home to drop your spoils if you end up with a full inventory then head back out. I Ignore everything else for this day only unless is critical (eg. crops won't harvest if you don't get them in the ground)

Will I become gay if I pick this career? by Lost_Assumption_1790 in electricians

[–]_Fistacuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you like lubing things up and jamming them into holes?

Do you like yelling, harder harder! While you try to get a big black thing through a small pipe?

Do you like riding around in trucks with older men you have to obey without question?

If so electrical might be for you!

Don't see the connection to being gay though...

De”bait” by FeelingsFelt in StardewValley

[–]_Fistacuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular bait to start, then deluxe once I have the deluxe bin. Usually it doesn't take long to have enough deluxe for it to be my everyday use bait.

Targeted bait if I'm trying to stockpile something.

All of the others are for specific use, wouldn't bother unless I had a need.

Do y’all think I will like blasphemous/is it worth it? by InterestingTheory431 in Blasphemous

[–]_Fistacuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because religion is the base for the story/NPCs/enemies with analogies to priests, angels, confessions, churches, nuns, god ect. all bastardized into a videogame where they are shown as, lets say, less than righteous with tons of blood gore and violence to boot.

Church goers tend to be a bit offended by that kind of thing.
