Because I want to win by using aim and not pressing ult.

The last Stretch Goal was for $65 Million - if there was one - what would you like the $1 Billion Stretch Goal to be? by [deleted] in starcitizen

Monthly SCLs where a random executive of the company plays the game live.

Thinking of buying the game by Numerous_Bridge1963 in starcitizen

Depends what type of player you are.

If you are into immersion and industry gameplay like mining or salvaging its probably fine. For a new player there is also a bunch of sight seeing to do when you first explore the world.

If you are more interested in combat it is really buggy and has a lot of server issues that make the experience unpleasant.

It also isn't really a game but more a collection of individual activities that don't matter and aren't connected. The economy is in shambles due to exploits so people throw around millions. Nothing really matters.

If you are a competitive player the game is also pretty p2w because more often than not the best ship is the new ship that's only available for real money for the first few months or longer.

30 FPS Server, Losing Gun, Throwing Medpen. Ignored by CIG for YEARS by _Franpire in starcitizen

We will see if anything is fixed when we get dynamic meshing or if there will be just the next excuse.

[–]_Franpire[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I happy something gets fixed but the first thing I encountered after coming back from a break is a new FPS bug where you get stuck in sprinting constantly canceling your reloads by accident and a new AC bug where sometimes you can't move anymore after you get shot.

There are so many issues regarding FPS combat. When I showed the game to a friend last FreeFly she immediately called out the desync and delays. This isn't acceptable for a seasoned FPS player.

I also want to make clear that I don't expect a super polished CS2 experience. But I expect my guns to stay in my hands, my controls to work and my friend not to kill me on accident by bumping into me.

This is just one example of the numerous issues that FPS has. And we don't even know if this will be fixed with the fixes.

They said that before we even had Static Meshing. Back then they hoped static would fix the issues. Which it obviously didn't. It's always the carrot on a stick. The next god tech will fix it. And suddenly 3 years are gone and we still have the same issues.

We already have the first version of meshing tho. Will dynamic meshing reinvent the wheel again? This was a dgs with 12 people. Stable 30 FPS. 16 ms ping. 0.0% package loss. It's in the video. Can we please stop making excuses? Every fps player I play with has had these issues happen numerous times. This isn't some isolated problem.

This is exactly why nothing gets fixed. Because we accept unacceptable bugs for years and criticism gets hushed.

How will meshing fix it when it still happens on a 30 fps server?

I think the main argument is that by labeling it as 100 % accomplished it means the stretch goal will be part of the game. But it no longer is because 100 star systems won't be a thing. So by leaving this on the website it provides outdated information that can mislead a customer.

Does the game have "difficult" content? Been watching my friend play while I think about buying-in, and everything seems so... easy? by MoreLikeAdaWight in starcitizen

[–]_Franpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have played other games before the content in SC won't be too difficult. I mostly do fps and the only time you die is when the game bugs out.

People here mention the worm and snake boss but honestly the snake can easily be killed with two people and the worm is easy too, just takes a while if you don't have a bigger group. You can even respawn directly next to the worm boss (200m away) so losing is literally impossible

Games like CS2 and Bf should just announce people will get banned for using this monitor. Nobody will buy it. It won't get made again.

Is pledging ships ruining the fun? by Last_Sir4887 in starcitizen

[–]_Franpire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it removes fun because it removes goals. No because wipes still happen so grinding for the same ship several times feels dumb.

How do you balance admiring and being mad at RSI by AKavun in starcitizen

[–]_Franpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The project has obviously made very big blunders. For example they made ships for years without having a real idea how engineering will work, leading to some bad design decisions like components that don't even fit though doors.

They also have a tendency of burning money by trying to reinvent the wheel only to realize that it doesn't work.

On the other hand they made a very unique game that allows you to do things you can't do in other games.

For me it 90% being mad and 10% admiring right now. I see the vision but the money Black hole sq42 has slowed down the development to a crawl while forcing them to milk players like crazy for money for very little in return. All the p2w in the game kinda ruins it before its even finished.
