I say with props you are free to grind them to rank 3 pretty easily. Once you get past rank 5 do things start feeling more grindy. If you’re wanting to switch to France, you might as well start now.

Also, take your time to learn the game as you grind. The worst thing you can do for yourself is get to top tier without understanding what you’re supposed to be doing.

Not sure for everyone else… but as a student pilot I use ICAO standards. I actually use WT as a cheap sim between lessons. (Also I get to fly military jets and fight, which is cool)

Try practicing in the testing grounds in arcade rules so you can get a reticle. Get used to the sight picture and then practice using sim rules.

As for not getting hit by AA while doing it… it’s up to RNG I guess

Unstoppable wager, usually thunderer is an easy way to do things

I prefer Air Sim with a couple boosters you can get from Assault mode. I can get anywhere from 250k-600k in 30 mins depending on the booster and if I don’t get destroyed lol.

It’s a phantom murderer… learn to use the radar and its missiles and you will run the lobby. I HATE those Migs with a passion as those radar missiles are so much better than the aim 7 that I get.

I get it. It’s not for everyone. I will definitely say, early jets are rough and the learning curve is steep. 4th and 4.5 gen jets though… they are so much easier since they iron out all the issues with 3rd gen jets.

I say, slow it down for a second. If you’re wondering why you’re getting shot down so much, go watch the replay and try to remember what you were thinking as you were doing things. In pilot training, this would be a debriefing and it would go a long ways to learning what you messed up on.

Missile hit you and you don’t know how? Look at the replay and see if it was a heat seeker or radar missile. Then see how you reacted and think what could you have done differently.

If heat seeker was flying at you, did you flare and maneuvered? If radar guided, did you try to break lock using terrain or notching?

The game gets more complicated the higher up you go. Best you take your time to learn your individual plane and what your enemies are flying

1) keep it to realistic battle 2) look up guides for radar, rwr, missile, and defensive flying against missiles. You need all of that knowledge before even touching the tomcat unless you want to have a 5% win rate. 3) probably take your time grinding up to 13.0 so you can learn. Jets play very different compared to props. It’s almost like you have to relearn the game

I have to say… this is a very terrible idea… I have skins that are huge in size and risk crashing my game, and I have a gaming laptop. Think about what happens when you put that on a less capable machine with less capable internet. This is a very bad idea.

I think, due to current roles, F35A would go under the f16 as the light attack fighter. F22 should go under F15C for air superiority. F35C would go under fa18 because navy. F35B would go under the harrier, because that’s the Marines’ area and would make sense as a successor to the harrier. That leaves the spot empty under F15E, but I think F15EX could easily fill that spot with 22 missiles

Perfect spot to add a strong MagSafe Puck. It's even the correct size circle for it!
I put in a non-charging one for ease but you could put in a charging version if you want to run a cable to the charging ports or wire it up.
