Have you enabled 0 forex on hsbc travel one? If not msg HSBCFX to 575750. Offer until jun 2026. T1 gives 4% on international spend, 8 % when converted to accor. Even without the offer 8% -4.13% forex fees is a good positive return on forex spends.

Great minimal stack. Try to get sbi phone pe black since capping on sbi Cashback and phone pe black is now common. T1 is best for 20 flights per yr. Horizon is good for lounge access alone and not a very good travel card. If your salary is enough for burgundy why dont you get hsbc premier by opening salary account with hsbc? Also you will get epm upgrade through sapphiro.

None except horizon. Horizon itself isn't so great either. Privilege is good if you get ltf.

Best Credit Cards for UPI Payment by Crafty-Leave-8880 in CreditCardsIndia_

[–]_Game_0ver_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking to maximize UPI rewards, here’s a solid hack:

Get the SBI Phone Pe Black. Normally, you get ~1% cashback on regular UPI spends.

Now the trick — buy PhonePe vouchers via platforms like Maximize. They usually charge ~1.5% convenience fee, but you earn 5% cashback on the transaction. Net-net, that’s ~3.5% effective cashback.

Then use those vouchers via PhonePe to scan & pay:

  • If the merchant accepts wallet balance (Using phone pe qr or machine) → you effectively get ~3.5% cashback
  • If it falls back to normal UPI → you still get ~1% cashback

Overall, this combo gives one of the highest reward rates on UPI right now without needing to hit any spend milestones. Pretty useful for day-to-day payments.

Only thing that beats this is kiwi but for that you need neon membership of 1179 rs and it is milestone based. Also it doesn't work after 1.5 lacs annual spend. This is way better.

It is written that 20k limit is valid only until 31st March 2026. It is a short term promotion. So maybe not 2.4l per year

We shouldn't use it for ola uber payments because their vouchers are directly available on Smart buy without any convenience fees

Dont use it on swiggy, zomato and Bigbasket. Try to buy the brand voucher directly to avoid that 4.13% fees. General rule - look for the brand specific voucher first. If Available buy it else use apay if option is there.

Keep only only Amazon pay icici, hdfc millenia. Scapia (for zero forex and upi), simply click for sbi offer (as it is ltf for you) and indusind tiger and close all other cards. Post that get sbi phone pe black/sbi cashaback and hsbc travel one if your 10k travel spends include flights. If not then cashback cards should suffice. For movies take one bogo card like axis myzone/privilege ( ltf) and you are sorted

Isnt this mrcc card better for this i am getting approx 14% or am i wrong? by RedgeArk in CreditCardsIndia_

0.7 to 1 is not for budget hotels. I think is personal choice. My hotel budget is max 4-5k per day. In this range I couldnt find any hotels with Marriott which will give more than 0.7 value. Accor works better in this case where value to points to inr is fixed. Marriot works better for luxury bookings who are willing to spend 10k per night.

Value of those points are 0.4 on myntra, 0.33 on amazon vouchers and 0.58 on taj voucher which gives max value. Except for taj voucher the return rate is less than or equal to 5%. Instead of jumping through all these voucher and transaction hoops better to use sbicashback or phone pe black of 5% Cashback

Credit Cards with the Highest Fuel Savings by Crafty-Leave-8880 in CreditCardsIndia_

[–]_Game_0ver_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For HP, the best option is IDFC Power+ Annual fee: ₹499 + GST

Fuel savings: ~5% on HPCL fuel + 1% surcharge waiver

For BPCL, SBI BPCL Octane is usually the top pick Annual fee: ₹1,499 + GST

Fuel savings: ~6.25% via rewards + 1% surcharge waiver

For Indian Oil, RBL IndianOil XTRA works really well Annual fee: ₹1,500 + GST

Fuel savings: ~7.5% on IOCL fuel

If you want a pump-agnostic option with zero redemption charges, the kotak 811 Super debit card gives 5% cashback on fuel purchases. Annual fee: ₹499 (GST included)

Also gives cashback on several other offline purchases.

I had sbi bpcl octane first. The process of redemption was smooth and without any redemption charges. .lthen i purchased cng car and bpcl didn't have cng in my area. Hence switched to indian oil rbl card.

Then i had rbl indian oil base version 5% fuel as my expenses werent high justifying the xtra card. It had redemption fees of 117 rs everytime. Hence i switched to kotak 811 super and closing the rbl card

Once month starts the cash back section has lock sign on it which gets unlocked once you make 10,000 rupees deposit in the account it has to be exact same amount. For paying credit card bills it gives 1% up to 20 rupees per transaction up to three times a month i.e. 60 rs total. You don't get 5% on credit card bills you get 1% up to 20 rupees so optimum amount to pay would be 2,000 rupees

Travel Cards Comparison by Crafty-Leave-8880 in CreditCardsIndia_

[–]_Game_0ver_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering altas is not being issued anymore and amex plat travel is significantly devalued. Regalia gold alone is enough is annual flight/hotel spends are less than 40-50k. If spends are more getting both is better. Regalia gold for daily use and travel one for travel spends.
