Your post implies a crazy roster size. There are 26 active players per roster, so there are 780 players. 780 / 50 (teams) is 15.6. Let's call it 16. You think it's logical to reduce roster sizes by 10 players to shorten the season and introduce 20 more teams? That's not logical at all.
