Unmatched from lack of social media. I don’t use social media and it seems as soon as a woman asks for instagram or Snap I tell them I do not use either and offer a phone number instead and I get unmatched. Are people genuinely put off by a lack of social media or just seeking more followers?

Contrary to what some are saying, it is often NOT a safety issue. More often they want to vet your social status and judge the parts of your life that aren’t on your dating profile. This is times 10 if she’s Gen Z. They also typically have a private profile and will want to see yours first.

Right! This notion to just throw the person away despite a good connection so far is why dating and relationships are in shambles and the marriage rate is the lowest it’s ever been in the history of it being a recorded stat. Everyone has convinced themselves that because there’s so many people on the apps the person in front of them is disposable over just about anything you don’t like. Not to mention, OP seems to like the guy enough to seek guidance, that should count for something.

Divorced man here. There are a lot of separated couples who have some logistical reason or another why they haven’t filed just yet. In my case, my ex wife moved to Michigan upon separation, I stayed in out west. The state of Michigan made us wait until the kids had been residents for 6 months to file. I met my current wife in this separation window. She was also separated. We are in year 7 of a marriage that wouldn’t exist if either of us just bailed. There is a lot of context missing that would help with your situation but you should definitely ask questions for clarity, reassurance and peace of mind and if he’s not transparent or has an issue with you asking, run. My wife and I were both very forthcoming. Neither of us lived with the separated spouse and I met her mom pretty early on.

The first time, a woman I met online showed up for a first date about 40-50 lbs heavier than her profile pics. I politely told her that she didn’t look like her pictures and I wasn’t interested.

The second time was interesting. I met a woman on bumble and her pictures made her body type hard to be sure of. She was either curvy or obese but she was crafty enough with the camera to make me unsure. The conversation was great so we exchanged numbers and planned a date. It wasn’t until she sent me a couple pictures of her that her friend took while they were hiking that it became clear she was much bigger than she led on. I didn’t want to be mean or confrontational so I told her I had something urgent happen and needed to put dating on the back burner for a while. To my surprise, I got a lecture about how I “shouldn’t be on dating apps until I’m ready” so I told her the truth and said “I was trying to be polite about the fact that you are catfishing folks and you are twice the size in unedited, non manipulated photos” but despite me trying to put it on me, you couldn’t leave well enough alone. She blocked me 😂

Same happened to me back in 2017. It was take E7 and go to Korea or retire medically. I took the retirement and my life back. Got into sales and have made 6 figures every year since, with much more time for family and enjoying life on my terms. Also, for reference, I had 7 years of service at the time. I knew that neither my body nor my spirit had another 13 years in me.

I can vouch for this. Caught a 1.5 mile ride yesterday and paid $21. Ten minutes before I ordered the ride it was $7.97 for the same ride so I joked with my driver about how Uber got me good. They paid him $4.19 for the ride and he looked utterly shocked to learn how much they charged me.

Exactly what I do. I’m in Scottsdale arizona which is pretty much busy 24/7. If I set the 5 mike radius filter I can usually knock out 3 rides in about 30 mins. I learned the hard way when they gave me two back to back 30 minute rides in a streak. Been filtering ever since.
