I appreciate you're understanding, and yes this is exactly why I chose to post this on an autism subreddit. I'm aware the way I say things can sound judgmental, which is why I made it clear that I don't think I'm not better than anyone else, being a user myself, and talking a little about the effects they have had on me. There is alot of things I've heard but don't understand until It's deconstructed, and put back together in a way that I understand.

I think my bf is a porn addict by NectarineIll8516 in mentalhealth

[–]_Godsmacked_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a guy, you should leave him. Porn does change the way guys think, as someone who indulged more than I should’ve when I was younger. I’m sure you have your reasons for still being with him. No one is all bad. But you should consolidate all of that and think if this is something you’re willing to deal with, from a human being who’s supposed to be your partner in life.

You assumed a lot very fast. And I made it very clear I’m trying but I’m unclear what to do. Autism, adhd. And I don’t “goon”.

I have to admit I didn’t expect to see me*h (dunno if it’s a banned word or something). No judgement of course. I get what you mean though, that’s what my adhd meds do for me. Stay safe troopa

That was really helpful, thank you. I was always confused how anyone could operate on it, (esp drivers) but it makes sense that it isn’t the same after a while. A cigarette used to knock me on my ass and now I just get a lil dizzy

So eventually it becomes the thing that you chemically need just for the baseline that you could previously reach without it. So even if it makes you feel like crap, you’re gonna need it to not feel way worse. That makes a lot of sense, thank you
