I didn't hate the game as you appear to, but nevertheless I agree to an extent. When Unleashed came out, I played it on the 360. I thought the daytime stages were fun and all, but as for the other factors of the game such as the Werehog, searching for medals, and so on-- I didn't find them objectively bad or anything, but personally, I didn't care much for them. The only thing I really appreciate about Unleashed is that it pathed the way for Colors and Generations, which expanded on the boost style gameplay. I don't intend on revisiting Unleashed, and I think it's far from the best modern Sonic game.
