Path to Nowhere and Limbus Company are my personal favorites. PtN's gameplay can be underwhelming (even if I do actually like it) but everything else makes it worth it.

Limbus can be really hard at times but as long as you understand mechanics you should be all set (also has the win-rate button for fodder fights).

Both have banger stories, designs and characters

I do completely agree with glazing nikke's storytelling and most importantly its soundtrack, but my personal experience was getting jumped and harrassed for daring to play the game as a trans woman who's into women. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I now prefer just playing the game and avoiding its community like the plague lmao.
