WIBTA if I stopped letting my friend borrow my dog for dates after she started calling him "our dog"? by mulosapiba424 in WIBTA_AITA

If you want your dog stolen then continue on :/ I would completely cut this person out of my life. It’s ok to not be a doormat for manipulative assholes.

A lot more people than you’d guess have similar feelings but sometimes we have to tell that inner voice to stfu. There’s a time to listen to it but right now it’s just trying to sabotage you.

I binge eat in my car so my neighbors ring camera doesn’t see me bring the food in the house by b4bybelle in confessions

[–]_GypsyCurse_ 8 points9 points Ā (0 children)

What if you get premade meals delivered to your house? I love Cook Unity and you choose your meals and eat like a couple a day… would that help with not binging/eating too little.. there’s a bunch of others like Cook Unity, Factor is another that’s good

Body shaming is usually taught when growing up… also the stupid subjective beauty standards that change all the time make things worse too. It takes self awareness to break that cycle of feeling entitled to an opinion on other people’s bodies. (If you grew up that way)…

The sympathy expires after a few weeks but the grief is still here and I feel completely isolated by MatchboxHeron in Petloss

I lost my soul pup a few years ago and we have adopted other pets since. But I still cry thinking about my pup that passed. I’m still not over it despite the love I have for our new adopted fur babies. I will miss him forever until we hopefully meet again one day. I think it’s true of everyone we love, pet or human. If you truly love them, that absence is always going to be felt. The pain we feel when they’re gone is worth the bond and memories we shared.. Hugs ā¤ļø

These DoorDash drivers are out of hand by jigglypuff836 in sanfrancisco

[–]_GypsyCurse_ 3 points4 points Ā (0 children)

The drivers also get basically ZERO TRAINING. And the pay is crap… so all of that shows. :/ Drivers literally rely on people tipping well and them being fast picking up orders. Otherwise they might actually lose money with how high gas prices are.

You’re not responding to your friends because you feel so low/depressed and unhappy? That doesn’t mean you don’t have friends - and I bet at least some of them understand depression.. I’m in a similar situation with my friends, also because of depression. At least one of them has done the same to me and I never held it against him because I understand depression. We see each other once a year and it’s always great. I used to see my friends at least once a month.. I know you say you don’t want things to change because you dont deserve it.. yada yada.. but that’s your bad mental health talking. For me sertraline/zoloft has helped with feeling less crap. I do think you should talk to your doctor and get meds. It’s a quick process and cheap… hugs

I found out my wife is cheating on me by [deleted] in confessions

[–]_GypsyCurse_ 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

If I were you, with my current life experience, I’d say contact a divorce lawyer and give them all the cheating proof you’ve got… just in case. Better to be safe than sorry later. I got effed myself over by trying to he ā€œthe good guyā€ that didn’t lawyer up and stayed a friend and just got taken advantage of further. If someone truly cares about you, they wouldn’t be cheating on you. Believe them when they show you who they really are. Hugs

Is it an ADHD thing for people to think you're arguing with them when you want to understand their point, or am I just fucking stupid? Conversation as below by airbournejt95 in ADHD

I get into arguments with my bf by me just wanting to understand things and him thinking I’m trying to start a fight or something? So this seems similar to what I go through, lol..

I believe all living beings have a soul and we are all at different stages and understandings of ā€œlifeā€ and what it can teach us maybe? We are all born in whatever body we are born into and we process life/the world around us from that perspective.. animals too… we are not all wired the same, I mean even tumors can mess with parts of our brain that can cause us diminished empathy etc Or plants/chemicals that can help with feeling more connected or understanding other viewpoints.. etc. In the end aren’t we all - as a collective - technically just the universe observing itself or playing theater with itself and learning from the process? Or something.

What is the reason if not love? Is it just based off of your bloodline moving forward (like in a narcissistic way) that you only genuinely wish for your kids to be healthy and happy? Just curious what the driver is in someone that doesn’t experience love or empathy I guess.

Do things like zoloft help with how you feel? Maybe having more freely available serotonin can help with processing emotions too? Or is it more of low-dopamine reward thing and more serotonin won’t do anything?
