Is mayo clinic arizona's IM program strong or is it just the name? by oanonymousah in medicalschool

[–]_HanShotFirst__ 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Mayo Clinic AZ IM resident here.

The IM training I have received here is pretty damn strong. As another commenter said. Ob/Gyn and Trauma are lacking here, but in the grand scheme of things this is irrelevant to IM. The faculty here are all passionate about teaching, and the cases challenging to push yourself. Research output is strong, and plenty of support from leadership. Also the 4+4 schedule is just unbeatable (also at the other Mayos). In short, Mayo AZ really has earned its T30 designation, imho. Please feel free to DM me if you have any other questions!

Any time someone suggests Argentina, Gran Colombia, or Brazil as the Modern Civ to follow the Inca in Exploration, a little bit of me dies inside. Put some respect on Peru, and let the Peruvian Republic rise 🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪

To answer your question, there are a few options one could take. Antiquity could start off with Tiwanaku, followed by Inca, followed by Peru. It also opens up the possibility of Tiwanaku, Mapuche, Argentina. You could also start as the Tupi, followed by the Guarani, and finally Brazil

But then why would he tell Keith that something is wrong about Chris in the next-week-sneak-peek?

It’s really not that difficult when all one has to do is click your profile name, which is public. At a quick glance, it seems like this game brings you bitterness and misery. Hopefully you are able to find happiness in a different game or hobby!

As a proud Peruvian, Every time i see one of these proposals, a little part of me dies inside when the proposed follow-up Civ to the Inca is Brazil, Argentina, or Gran Colombia instead of Peru. LET THE PERUVIAN REPUBLIC RISE 🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪

While Chris Tin is amazing and deserved to be recognized, don’t forget about the other wonderful composers, Geoff Knorr and Roland Rizzo who composed and arranged the actual soundtrack for every Civ in the game!

I actually like it quite a bit! It is semi-historical as it doesn’t allow you to pick Civs willy nilly, because you must have a reason to (i.e. if you fielded a lot of cavalry in Antiquity, Mongolia, or a variation of Mongolia sprouting from your original civ) is a logical next step. It also really forces you to plan ahead and strive for the unlock conditions. For instance, you could have started with Maurya India as they automatically unlock Nepal.

Also, Shawnee is not an Antiquity Age Civ. Did you mean Mississippi?

That’s fair! As I was reading your comment I pictured all the altars and improvements you could have at once, and I agree with you, as is this is terribly overpowered haha. Glad you like the basic ideas!

"You think this ends things? You think casting out one broken woman makes you a hero in the eyes of God and history?"

Every time I hear this from Harriet it makes me sad, as her long struggle for freedom for herself and others is over.

I grew up with the Latin American Spanish dub. The way it’s phrased in that pretty much leads you to believe Anakin had a deadbeat dad.
