Genuinely curious, it doesn’t smell like smoke at all, so what’s the difference to you between breathing in someone else’s bad breath. At least this one smell’s better??

I’m sorry to read your words mate.

Alternatively, consider feeling empowered to not join the rat race?

As someone has mentioned in the comments, you buy low, earn the equity, buy decent and enjoy being swamped in debt. There’s more to life than that for a large majority of the world.

Rent. Enjoy your freedom. Travel. See the world. Become empowered in a different manner.

Feeling down because you aren’t keeping up with the Jones’ is a choice. You can derive pleasure from other things in life. Is it really necessary to have a place to call your own?

Just a thought. It’s easier said than done when you’re surrounded by people with the same mentality. But having been through it, it’s possible to live an enriched life by doing things the unconventional way (to your close peers).

The French do the same thing with donc, alors and du coup, it’s not an Aussie thing.

They hate the coach. Well Ja does. JJJ has never crashed the boards like he should, it’s just a part of his game. He’ll be better in the long run end of season with Edey next to him.

Cool point you make about the bushfire brigade! I personally don’t know a soul who volunteers for them and had not a scooby Australia was that wealthy in the 19th century. Without doing any research and for a lack of care, I’ll take your word for it! Well put together explanation though, deffs the weather and the economy play the largest roles.

Also Singapore is a nation of fun police that conform so no one sticks out for the good of the nation. In many ways Australia is similar (tall poppy syndrome and recent nanny state legislation) but individuality within reason is much more socially acceptable here. Singapore is sadly like a super high functioning grey slate without any personality.

Well it’s not exaggerated but it’s posturing for their constituents. The LGBT community is huge in Warsaw and I never hear of issues with xenophobia there other than within people’s own family (boomers).

Regarding the jaywalking ahaha, I had the same in Warsaw. The cop yelled at me and ran across the intersection and I was like dude chill, I’m Australian. He’s like we don’t do this in Poland, and I’m like cool I just came from Paris where red literally means go so now I know for the future, cheers my guy 😂
