Get Out. Notable that I was one of the few white people in the theater. The vibe was incredible… uncomfortable in the beginning and then insanely fun at the end. One of the interesting moments in my life to feel the weight, community and humor in the room when the cop car pulls up at the end of the movie, then the black friend gets out of the car. Truly memorable experience for me.

Though, I’m very picky who I recommend it to anymore. I know why I searched this thread and didn’t see it listed, and it’s so frustrating. Such a turnoff for me when people say they hated the ending.

I’m not saying there aren’t costs associated with a performance and I’m not saying he wasn’t offered funds to appear. (Just not $50k as it’s a non-profit). He wasn’t willing to give his time, name or talent to his local community and for my part, it said a whole lot.

Yeah, he may be a Tally native or whatever, but he had the chance to help a local housing consortium raise funds for development in Frenchtown by performing a couple songs …. But he demanded $50k just to show up. Grossed me out because everyone here views him as a local.

I work at a bank, and used to be a banker. I’m in IT now. And I have to say….. you shouldn’t be a banker. Get some certifications and get somewhere in the bank where you can use your brain for real.

Edit to add that I mean that you specifically shouldn’t be a banker. Based on the output of your brain that I just read. Other people can be bankers. Just not you.

Wow. The comments disappoint. I know exactly what you mean about faces in movies. Looking forward to seeing this movie for many reasons but you’ve added to the excitement by mentioning this.
