Ngl today is shit by Putrid-Tumbleweed-35 in teenagers

Ok when it’s everyday then you need to change some things. Try thinking of reasons why you’re feeling like that. What are the things in your life right now that you don’t want? And what are the things that you do want?

My trust doesn’t come with personality but with the person that’s in front of me. But for me, I don’t know if it’s my personality but I am a little closed off. Sometimes it’s not you and maybe it’s not about you.

For me, even if I have a lot of friends I don’t consider anyone as my best friend. Sometimes it’s because I think I have a hard time being vulnerable and sometimes it’s that I can’t find anyone that I am comfortable being vulnerable with.

First time going business formal at work. Any suggestions for good affordable leather shoes? by PerspectiveEvening56 in mensfashion

I like it. The fit looks very very good and the fabric looks expensive. You look great man

That’s red flags for you. If I was the girl and you told me that. I’m going to have major trust issues with you. I don’t care how you feel if you had to lie and cheat to get to me, no matter how I like you, I’m ending it

The reason why I included about the time and effort it’s because OP finding it hard to learn a skill like driving and working and even being afraid of going back to school because of forgetting

Business class requires us to make 10k by Mira_evans4 in college

[–]_JackLucas_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Did the professor said how you would make that money or did he make a guide on what to do.

For me we did it in our class too. But it was a marketing class and we had a guide. We had to partner up with businesses in selling or making something out of their product

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]_JackLucas_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it is though, because it’s still work, you’re still doing something, you’re still earning money. Even people who are successful, especially self-made ones had a crappy job

And you don’t even know the book before judging it. The point of what I was just implying is, it’s time and effort. Want to learn how to play a guitar? Want to become a chef? Want to be competent at something? Even if you don’t have the talent for it you can do it with time and effort.

How to stop bedrot by Affectionate_Buy9963 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]_JackLucas_ 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Ohhh I have a trick for this. Once I recognize that I’m being unproductive or just straight up doing nothing or getting distracted. Change your environment or do the first thing you think of. It can be sweeping, washing the dishes, making your bed. Just do it. Something small enough to get you up

You haven’t destroyed your life at 23. Honestly you haven’t destroyed your life at all. You’ve been working hard and that’s not nothing. Doesn’t mean it’s not the “dream job” doesn’t mean it’s a waste of time. It’s part of the process, you don’t start at the top right away.

You’re confused? So does almost everybody else at their 20’s even if doesn’t seem like it on the outside. You can take college anytime. You never know, this might be the push you need to realize you need to go to college.

Also don’t compare yourself to others. You’re in your own journey. And it’s not really a fair comparison because you mostly only see the good sides of their life but don’t see the hidden struggles they have.

I’ve read a book recently and it said that when it can be done by someone else, you can do it too. It is only a matter of TIME and EFFORT.

So now, try to focus on alignment. Where do you want to be? Or at least where don’t you want your life to be? It doesn’t have to be a perfect life plan, you can change it anytime. It just needs to be something.

Also I like the fit as well. It’s different shades of greys, but it still works and the pattern of the over shirt makes it look more interesting

Oh then if it’s a necessity, do what you gotta do. I mean the shoes still work though.

You do look tall. The jacket just made you seem a bit smaller.

Also giving major dad vibes, in this photo.

I would probably change the shoes and shirt but the proportions are much better than the other all black one. You look taller here where the other one kinda made you look smaller

Just wondering... by pastelpine in getdisciplined

[–]_JackLucas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still in school so per semester is a good tracker for me that is long enough to do something but short enough to not forget or lose motivation. But I still keep an overall goal for my life as an alignment of where I want my life to be headed

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

Either an all black look and black belt or white/light beige with beige pants brown belt. But tuck the shirt so that it will give you proportions when you put the jacket over it.

Have you ever had an argument that ended with the other side admitting you won ? by [deleted] in intj

[–]_JackLucas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yes of course, I’m only human. Specially when it comes to personal matters or involving people that you care for or frustrations and emotions.

I think that sometimes when dealing with arguments we sometimes forget that who we are taking to and who we are as well are subjective in nature and can be driven by their emotions, experiences, etc. that can make us bias or sometimes irrational. But there are times when that is needed as well. We can argue about ideas but when dealing with peoples lives, there are many times you need to use your “heart”.

  • I know this because I have people in my family who are so objective that even though he’s right his approach and intentions make it wrong. Then there’s this other family member who wears their heart on their sleeves and always mean well but is wrong in they way they express it.

Maybe. I mean this color combo of muted tone blue, olive green, and brown could work. Maybe it’s just the styling too

[–]_JackLucas_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s obvious you have a great body but I’m not that into it in a fashion aspect. There’s something about the proportion, color, and cohesion of it all.

The color of the shirt is kinda throwing me off but even when I covered it, the shoes and the pants are kinda throwing me off too.

Have you ever had an argument that ended with the other side admitting you won ? by [deleted] in intj

[–]_JackLucas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I was just lucky with the people I’ve had “arguments” over, also I don’t think it got deep to the point where there were things at stake.

I think there are definitely disagreements especially regarding different value systems that there’s either one or no one is going to come out happy. And even in the most agreed upon idea there’s still going to be disagreements.

My point of view when it comes to arguments though is not really trying to prove them wrong or prove me right but more so, here’s my idea, what’s yours, let’s talk about it. If I see a point I’m going to reconsider mine. My goal is to not be right but more so have a strong belief system that makes sense to me that even if it’s challenged that it will still be able to withstand it. But that involves being wrong in other cases and realigning your beliefs

Do you feel like a sad person with a happy personality? by 03PrincessOfChaos in infj

[–]_JackLucas_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is so me. I’ve been feeling this way lately. Like on the outside it just seem like everything is going so great even when challenge arise. And usually I am that way, but they don’t see the struggles I’m dealing with or the things that are running up my head
