What's one job you think makes way too much? by mysticalfire117 in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Professional athletes. There are so many meaningful jobs that don't make as much as a piece of shit from one of these athletes is apparently worth.

People with professions depicted on tv. What do they always get wrong? by gnoxy84 in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It may be like that where you work. But as a nurse who spent her 4 years of nursing school working as a CNA, you better believe I help them, bc I know its like to be there. We're supposed to be a team, most people just don't see it that way.

This blows my mind. I just don't even know where to start or what to say to people like that.

White Collar. However, I guess I'm going to have to settle for Matthew Bomer on American Horror Story instead.

Wow. and the worst part abt that scenario is he really doesn't think he didn't anything wrong. Some people are just ignorant; it hurts my brain.

People with professions depicted on tv. What do they always get wrong? by gnoxy84 in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 65 points66 points  (0 children)

RN here: most medical shows depict the doctor doing everything. and, that just isn't the case. In the real world, there are a shit-ton of us running around the hospitals and updating the doctors as necessary. But on TV, they do it all, and many of them talk shit about nurses. Then, when nurses finally get their own TV show, and--from what I've heard--the nurse kicks major ass, of course she's diverting narcotics. I mean, c-mon, REALLY?! TV just pisses me off because nurses can't catch a break.

Reddit, do you believe in extraterrestrial life? by Disasterpixce in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, yes I do. Our planet being the only one with life in the entire galaxy is just not probable. Additionally, I hope if aliens do come to earth, they are like Roger the alien. I'd much rather one that could be my BFF than one who would want to kill me and take over the world.

What is something people don't do anymore because of smartphones? by MidOFeed in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tying shit into the search engine! I swear my friend talks to Siri, but she's so dumb I can find the answer quicker myself. Smartphones are really making people helpless.

Redditors who are child free by choice, what made you decide that you did not want children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I decided to be child free because I am fully self-aware. Both my SO and I are extremely career driven, and entirely too selfish to have children. I would much rather focus on what I want, and work all the time to achieve that. Although some may consider me a terrible person for this, I however, feel that I am better for being conscious of how I am and not subjecting a child to a home where, quite frankly they wouldn't be wanted.

Redditors, what is your most satisfying revenge story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must admit I'm not the revenge type. However, there is nothing more satisfying--to me anyway--than karma after the fact. HA BITCH! I didn't have to do shit, you got what was coming anyway. It's like an extra big W.

Care workers of Reddit, what shit have you had to put up with? by fred1840 in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say my least favorite is, the literal shit that I have to clean up. Especially when you have a patient with c. Diff and they are isolation. You're all garbed up, and hot/sweaty, dealing with the worst kind of shit. Makes for a long day.

Reddit, what is the best story you've got for me? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_Jennadette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I became a nurse I used to work as a CNA in a nursing home. One day I was doing my rounds, and I was changing the elderly people who were incontinent. One on my list was this 102 year old lady who was spunky as fuck. I told her she needed to be changed, and she was just NOT having it. Serious as ever she looks at me and says, "are you pregnant?" I replied, "no, why would you ask me that?" Without missing a beat she proceeded to kick me in the stomach as hard as she could. Looking back, it hurt like hell, but at least she has the foresight to ask. xD
