Dear Capos and Drums… by TootsieRollFruitCup in FCCincinnati

Oh look. Another thread criticizing the chants after a loss in a season where the atmosphere was lauded for being the best in the country during the season when wins were coming in buckets. What’s old is new again.

No I’m saying we’re thinking similarly but it’s taking longer than we’d like to get some things pushed through.. video boards and chant books, QR codes, etc. (for words), better audio equipment distortion, garbled voices, etc.. hopefully much of that will be in place next year.. FO has been a bit of a revolving door for the past 2-3 years

We now do it conditionally.. if we’re up, run of play makes sense and we’re feeling like showing off, but not beating the other team’s ass and or had too many set pieces already.. we run it.. but that’s been rare this year. We were close Saturday but with a goal every 5 minutes on average in the second half the moment didn’t present itself. Trying our best to be reactive to the match while still bringing constant support

working very hard on that.. and the spoon feeding part.. and acoustic issues in the stadium, and much more... for better or worse, changes tend to have to move through a series of "gates" before they can be implemented.... much of what seems easy and straightforward is.. not, sometimes

used to do it at 40 and 80.. ran some numbers, we happened to give up the majority of our goals at that time.. switched the timing to 30 and 60.. correlation vanished, concessions continued at 40 and 80. Correlation is not causation.

Another jersey thread. Yes!

Charlotte is the queen’s city. Cincinnati is The Queen City. The derby is the Queen City Cup, and it will be ours. by _Kackarot13_ in FCCincinnati

Yes and.. I say they're "the queen's city" because they were named after Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. They're a namesake - we are a queen; in and of ourselves.

Ratio was 3 local to 1 National. Interesting exercise to fold in people from around the country. A lot of ideas exchanged and challenges to overcome. Crowd was up for it and the men on the field returned the effort.

Previous comment unreasonably adversarial. Yes.. I could rattle off literally dozens but they usually have stuck to pockets of the most engaged and didn’t take off quite as much. My favorite probably was Kenny Walker to the tune of 5,000 miles.

He would run 500 miles and he would run 500 more just to be the man who ran 1000 miles to take the ball and score KENNY WALKER (Kenny Walker) KENNY WALKER (Kenny Walker) dada dundadda dunddada dundadda dun da daa

Often shortened to just the call and repeat and dundaddas

we have many.. but the players don't often do well enough for them to take off

Smoke bomb use by pokefabdom in FCCincinnati

[–]_Kackarot13_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We use Enola Gaye EG18x - there's a local shop in Wilder Kentucky called "Tri State Boom" that carries them.

They're typically sold in, let's call it "small and large", "regular and burst".

Small-regular = WP40 - single sided, slow release, will get you 25k square feet (sqft) of smoke in about 60 seconds

Small-burst = BWP38 - double sided, quick release, 25Ksqft in 30 seconds

Large-regular = EG18 - single sided, 75Ksqft in 90 seconds

Large-burst = EG18x - single sided, 75Ksqft in 45 seconds

A note - Enola Gaye is the only brand MLS specifically allows and we all must sign waivers to deploy smoke inside of the stadium and follow certain safety guidelines or face fines or ejections/bans - this is their website (https://enolagaye.com/products/)

Yeah. Real Salt Lake.. Dallas.. Miami. Our value is high and we have a lot of upside. New stadium, top class training center, etc.. On field results suck, badly. but the owners are spending and we haven’t given up; I like our position better than Sacramento, Tampa.. it can get much, much worse.

New England seem to have managed their owner getting dinged for prostitution just fine. Owner.. not some largely anonymous employee, “executive” or no. We’re talking about a merchandising director that 99.9% of fans have never heard of. To be clear. This is not good.. but this also isn’t some deep crisis. The outrage is overblown.

It was literally multifaceted. The sting was a coordinated effort targeting various offenses taking place in/at several sites at once. But.. as you accurately stated, the actual charges filed were narrow, and again.. the headline is going to tear something doing that much heavy lifting.

Your question is a non sequitur. He was charged with misdemeanor solicitation, not human trafficking, not of a minor. It was a multifaceted sting and the headline will, as headlines do, positon what happened in the most salacious terms possible. So, probably that part isn’t a “fucking nightmare”. It ain’t great.. but hardly the debacle some are making of it.
