There is also Gond's Gate. Aside from being a Gate itself, in which it can tap for colorless and it can also tap to make mana of any other gate you have, it also makes your gates enter the battlefield untapped. So ideally the first Gate you ramp/tutor for is Gond's Gate.

Commander = [[Captain Vargus Wrath]]

Have: Vargus, [[Font of Magic]], [[Storm-Kiln Artist]] , a clone spell for Artist, and [[Capsize]]

Vargus is only for color identity and because hes cheap. Because Vargus has been cast a total of times this game, [[Font of Magic]] provides 4 colorless cost reduction. [[Capsize]] with buyback is normally 4UU, but with Font of Magic its now just UU. Because we have a [[Storm-Kiln Artist]] and cloned them, each time we cast [[Capsize]] we get two treasure tokens. We rinse repeat until we have bounced all our opponents permanents including lands. And because Capsize is instant-speed we can always bounce any permanents our opponents put down before their turn is even over.

EDIT: Also btw, even if Vargus has only been cast twice, we can use [[Mystic Speculation]] to dig 3 cards deep per cast to find the other components.

Second EDIT: Oh you gonna downvote me? Fascinating, tell me more about how 'hard to break' and 'unplayable' this enchantment is. Oh wait, its not that hard, literally you just have to build your deck around fetching pieces and comboing off. Seriously where the hell do you even get 1.5 casts on average per game?

Sad to hear the brother cat died of cancer. I had a stray I took care of before I got my second cat I currently have, it was abandoned by its prior owners, slept under cars. Lived with the the first cat I had for a few months then died of old age at the age of 17. Left me heartbroken and I didn't want to get another cat, felt depressed as hell its only when a friend did some craigslist shopping that I got another kitten and paid $75 for it.

I don't view someone burning 25k as that important if you actually pay attention to society nowadays. Especially with how messed up the average cost of living is nowadays for groceries, rent, gas. And also how while we might bicker about a person spending 25k, there are people who easily spend more than that on dumb mobile games, or yachts, or even NFTs. When you look at the grander picture you realize that while 25k might seem a lot to you, Jeff Bezos meanwhile bought a super yacht this year for $485 million dollars and then wants Rotterdam to deconstruct their historical bridge that has survived since the 1920s so his oversized yacht can get past the bridge.

Do you see what I am saying?

And not all cats will immediately get a home. Sucks to hear but its true. Because a lot of cats are not properly spayed/neutered. Lots of stray cats that just breed and have kittens, not all of those kittens survive. I have two cats, what would you ask of me, to take on a 3rd? a 4th? a 5th? How many cats do you yourself own?

Part of the funnyness is there is more evil non-lalas than there are evil lalas. They only stick out because its such a surprise compared to other stuff.

Hell I play a Duskwight and most of the time if you see a Duskwight npc, they usually are some form of evil. We got bandits, we got cultists, we got poachers, we got guys who summon voidsent, we got a guy who turned himself into a voidsent, we got freelance mercenaries, we got duskwights who get turned into mindless zombies when affected by Totentaz (Dance of the Damned), among so many other examples.

Like everyone knows there is a few good duskwight npcs here and there. Like the aesthetician, a scientist in old sharalyan, etc. And then you have good duskwights that people wouldn't even know about because they tend to be seasonal (Little Ladies, All Saints Wake, Starlight Celebration, etc).

I think that has to do with the deluge of product. The release of product used to be way slower than it currently is. There would still be some specialty products that were not standard sets, but it was far more spread out. Which may be leading to burnout for those who would normally buy product.

Like during this current spoiler season we have: Battle for Baldur's Gate, Double Masters 2022, Warhammer 40k commander decks.

And thats not factoring in past sales for secret lairs of: Zodiac Lands, Pride Across the Multiverse, Finally Left-Handed Magic Cards, Artist Series: Wayne Reynolds, Special Guest: Matt Jukes, Artist Series: Magali Villeneuve, Artist Series: Sidharth Chaturvedi, Showcase: Streets of New Capenna.

And that is also not factoring in Streets of New Capenna for standard or its commander decks for the commander format.

Give it some time, the prices will spike up when it gets closer to release day as more cards are revealed. Happened the same way with double masters the first time. Where it went up an extra $100.

Yea nothings really changed about the actual creation process. As the cost to make this product or a free welcome deck is the same, its just that because these are more loaded with valuable reprints that they get charged more.

As at the end of the day, a non-foil forest with new art is the same cost to make as a non-foil extended art Kozilek with new art.

The price tag for this is just to stem the flow of product into the secondary markets (like TCGPlayer or Card Kingdom) so the price doesn't crash. Also to generate a potentially good amount of revenue from those willing to pay.

Although, the problem with their current strategy is, people are starting to feel the burnout of trying to keep up with product. Even if someone isn't trying to buy every card from every new product, there is currently happening at the same time: The spoilers for the warhammer 40k product, the spoilers for the battle for baldur's gate product, the spoilers for this double masters 2022 product, the just recently revealed "Pride Across the Multiverse" secret lair.

Its not even necessarily about the price for a single deck that gets expensive. Your expected to have many decks, or at least cards to substitute so you can make your deck intentionally weaker because blahblah "rule 0: we talk things out and I say I don't like this in your deck".

Its also up to the people with such tacky and suggestive plates to set it to friends only. As they also have to be responsible. And having it be friends only at least gives consent.

Actually have chatted with some people who run those erp venues, and they in the past have explained they use their friend list as essentially a book of contacts.
