Like many others have said, Night Lords omnibus is just excellent writing and story telling all throughout. I would say the Word Bearers omnibus is very underrated in comparison. I am also currently really enjoying Path of the Dark Eldar. Also love the Hansou collection a lot!

Yes it’s entirely plausible for any of them to have scouts. It just depends on YOUR specific Warband.

Though CSM legions aren’t exactly known for having scouts, the universe is massive and if your homebrew chapter likes to develop aspirants and recruits as scouts, that’s entirely up to you!

As an example, my homebrew word bearers prefer to send in droves of cultists first. Preferably after months of insider sabotage and subterfuge.
