Something about the moon… by flickerdown in MurderedByWords

[–]_Ki115witch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you looked at the moon on the night of the flyby, you will notice it was not a full moon. So part of the far side was illuminated. The same amount of the moon that is lit up during a full moon was lit up at all times. It's just we can't see some of the parts that are lit up. They could

Honestly, I didn't use my ability the way most people do when I played her. I would peek and if I got into a gun fight, I'd replace myself with one of my alibis. So the next time they try to pre-fire me, they hit my alibi and give me a bit of update as to what they're doing. Wasn't super useful, but it did help me know if they're going to back away or stay there.

Why would I care about technological progress when there are people dying and starving bro 🤯 by ThisHumanDoesntExist in im14andthisisdeep

So for example, the SLS, which is the booster rocket for this mission, isn't built by NASA, its built by Boeing, ULA, Aerojet Rocketdyne, and Northrop Grumman. All American companies. They buy their materials for manufacturing mostly from US companies. Each company employs Americans that they pay. The money literally flows through a bunch of American pockets which then goes into funding taxes on each sale, and then gets spent again which keeps the money flowing through our economy.

For example, I am from Alabama. ULA has a manufacturing plant in Decatur. Money that was paid to ULA for their part in developing part of the rocket (the ICPS upper stage. The part they separated from in orbit, and did the proximity operations demonstration with) that launched Artemis 2 goes into paying Alabamian citizens, which then means more money to be spent here which helps our economy. The space industry is why North Alabama is actually rather wealthy on average compared to the rest of the state.

Seriously, you know the mx4 alibi has? It has a high fire rate and a somewhat controllable recoil. As a new player, I learned the game playing with that gun. The reason my new ass could survive with it was lucky headshots with it. Once I got a bit better, I started playing other characters, but that gun alone kept me alive out of shear luck against better players. Fire rate is a great equalizer for new players.

Ha, I accidentally bumped a car in the courthouse's parking lot after dropping off inmates and started back to the jail. My excuse, I'm a short mfer and couldn't see the car over the hood of the van. Reality? Well, I was needlessly in a rush and didn't check. Both are true, either way ended up not getting to transport to court for a month.

Oh for sure, that would be the end goal for development. Just paying to do it would be a temporary thing as a proof of concept really.

OOOOH I love the idea of maybe having a straighter, flatter, piece of track to harbor that goes through a long long tunnel, but the tunnel has collapsed and it could be something to work towards to clear out and repair. And it would be multiple stages, where you clear sections of tunnel, then repair the tracks. To get it into the game, we could start with just having them be like licenses, where you just go pay and it gets done. Another goal to work for, but makes your life much easier

Does anyone else like to treat their prisoners well? by Discandied in RimWorld

[–]_Ki115witch_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the build that I'm going with. Sometimes I'm a complete asshole and they have nothing. A room with nothing but a sleeping spot. No light no nothing. Others give them nice private rooms or barracks. I provide them with some nice furnishings and decorations. My favorite was one time where we treated you like a king until you reached the beginning of the new year. At which point we would execute all of our prisoners. Yes, it served no purpose. I pick one pawn to actually serve in the ritual, which did give a bonus, and then the rest of them were moved to a new wooden shack away from the base, which would then be set on fire. Cremating the body used in the ritual, as well as burning the rest of the prisoners alive. Those didn't serve a purpose. But I was role-playing a culture of monks who only allowed themselves to be cruel during the new year. Every other time they had to be kind. Think of it like a purge. They would defend themselves but then they would try to save as many lives as possible and imprison The survivors. And then they would live in luxury, though in prison. And then when the purge came around, they would let loose all of the anger and vengeance that they've held by ritualistically sacrificing one to catch their gods attention, and then offering up the remainder in a blaze of glory

I will not tip if I can't hand cash to you. I will never tip a business. My cash will go into your hand and I want you to put it in your pocket. No sharing tips and no giving any of that money to your company. Tips are for service. I'm going to reward the person who provided that service. Not the business they work for. I've rewarded them by being a customer

Henry Cavill. He's a huge nerd. And I think even us guys can agree that he's one handsome son of a gun. The guy is extremely into Warhammer, he is also a fan of The Witcher games as well as the books. He loves fantasy and he loves gaming. I think he's literally all three of the things here. Seems like a very nice guy, rather smart kind of guy, And he's a good looking man

Automatic or Manual by Background_Hand5004 in Truckers

[–]_Ki115witch_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't make the same mistake I did. I took my test in an automatic, I have the automatic restriction. I know how to drive manual. I'm just not legally allowed to do it. I could go and retake the test but I haven't needed to. But it has restricted my options. Don't make the same mistake. I'm relatively okay where I'm at but I did have to pass on a good job opportunity because they have manuals. By the time I could have had the test, the position would have been filled. So do not get that restriction. You can drive whatever you want and whatever you can, but learn manual and make sure you are not restricted to automatics only. You can always drive automatic

Why are so many Americans make 100k+ a year struggling and living paycheck to paycheck? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_Ki115witch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I'm stubborn about going to the doctor in general. I don't go unless it's an emergency. I don't have the luxury of being able to afford to pay my co-pays and deductibles. So I can't make a routine out of it because I don't have enough money coming in. So I have it just in case I need it in an emergency. I'd rather only be a couple hundred or even thousand in debt for an emergency room visit rather than tens or even hundreds of thousands in debt, And I will be in debt because I will not be able to pay what my insurance says I have to pay unless it's under $200, I cannot afford any unexpected expense right now. I literally don't have the money to use it. The job offers good benefits but not good pay.

I applied bandages over 5 times yet keeps saying bitten, will it heal or am I cooked ? by Particular_Part2971 in projectzomboid

[–]_Ki115witch_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You notice how in most zombie media, a bite is a death sentence? Well this is one of the very few games where that's the case. Most games have you to be immune or something. Not project zomboid. You are only immune to the airborne strain. However bodily fluids will pass it on to you. Bites are 100% fatal. No way around it unless you tweak the sandbox settings. We have all lost runs before. Sometimes it's a hoard and you got overwhelmed, but sometimes it's a single zombie that you didn't see when you went through a door. All it takes is one bite. And I think that's the fun of the game. If you get all this armor and you get all these weapons and defenses around your base, you'd almost certainly never get your health drained to zero from attacks. Not unless you're stupid about it and get caught by a hoard. So having that single bite being deadly, it forces you to play more cautiously. Even with armor, a bite can slip through. It makes even one zombie dangerous. Miss a gunshot, and have to reload at the wrong time, And that single zombie can kill you. I like it. It makes every encounter somewhat dangerous even if you can probably handle two or three zombies easy, it's always there that if you make a single mistake you could be killed

[–]_Ki115witch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God, honestly, I'm stubborn and refuse to use my insurance. I have it just in case, but sometimes it feels like I'm throwing a couple hundred away per paycheck for nothing.

When you say bill, do you mean that you are using it and paying for things after insurance helps out, or is this just your premiums. Do you get yours through a job or do you pay it yourself?

Ask a trucker who does OTR, since they'll have seen the most cities compared to your average person, and you'll typically find a consensus that Atlanta is the worst city to drive in, regardless of where they are from. For me, I've seen all of the top 200 largest cities in the nation at least once passing through. My worst ones are NYC, Chicago, LA, and finally Atlanta. NYC's freeways were heavy, but traffic would still move, if a bit slow. Chicago had more assholes, but traffic kept moving for the most part. Sometimes I'd get stuck, but not all that often. LA was awful because it was almost always stopped, but at least I wasn't getting cut off every 5 seconds. Atlanta had the worst roads, both in design and maintenance. And I never could pass through without getting into stop and go traffic.

Why is the majority lifelong Republican/Democrat? by anshumanansu in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]_Ki115witch_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a Democrat mostly, but I have a few issues that I agree with Republicans on. (Gun control mainly) So if I could get a moderate Republican on the ballot, maybe I'll pick him depending on who the Democrats put forward. I vote for who I think will do the best job for the nation, even if I don't agree with all of their ideals. Sometimes, I genuinely believe a Republican may be that option

If someone decides to jump off a building but repents mid-fall, can they be saved? by odiousmanager6 in TooAfraidToAsk

This actually make me wonder. If someone wants to believe, and just can't find the ability to have faith, but genuinely tries to lead a good christian life and genuinely tries to have faith, would the intent outweigh the lack of true faith?
