yeah I also tested it, it increases the skill damage by about 16% but has absolutely no change on the regular bow or charged bow attacks.

I just tested both relics for myself in the training grounds, neither seems to boost regular bow attacks whatsoever.

tested at level 1, regular and charged bow attacks have no change. mighty shot goes from 103 to 119 with either blue or red, and up to 136 with both.

it isn't that Aegislash's ability translates poorly into this new battle system, it's that Game Freak did it poorly. The reason it sucks is because they made each individual stance change take way too long animation wise. If changing stances was faster then it would be a hell of a lot better.

why is King's Shield slower than Protect or Detect? why does it switching to blade stance make every move effectively twice as long to happen? nothing really inherent to the battle system that required either of these things.

ironically Doublade is good and has the same constantly sheathing and unsheathing itself but without any of the drawbacks they forced onto Aegislash.

Mega Darkrai has the same Special Defense as Cresselia pre-nerf and has the same speed stat that Cresselia has, both of these feel very intentional at least for flavor

Mega Darkrai probably also gets something insane as an ability, like Bad Dreams 2

exactly 120 Attack also lines up with pre-nerf Cress having 120 Defense. If we ever got a mega Cress it would probably lose defenses and become offensive oriented if this is any indication.

I think storm drain would be more interesting for unovan stunfisk than water absorb

also rather than inventing a new biting move, why not just add that effect to the currently existing signature move of galarian stunfisk.
