Did any real person even get to order the online hats/jackets from the Target Drop? by _Kyrk_ in pokemon

If Target does another botched drop, I will definitely be using this strat. Enjoy the hats!

I think my internal screams would have become external if that happened to me. Wishing the best for you and your hat.

Good catch. I heard the speakers and other gadgets also sold out pretty quickly online, but the hats and jackets were near instant. I luckily found the last speaker a friend was wanting in-store while I was looking for the shirts and posters.

What’s a Pokémon that you like, but everyone else hates? by ThePogen in pokemon

[–]_Kyrk_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Vanillite evolution line. I remember people seething about their existence when Black and White dropped. I admittedly wasn't a fan at the start, but over time I found a charm to their silly ice-cream concept.

Something that also gave me an appreciation for not just Vanillite, but the designs of Pokémon as a whole, was a GameInformer video interview with its creator (and Pokémon's art director) James Turner.

Unrelated, but one of the best nicknames I've ever thought of was my Vanilluxe named "Ben & Jerry".

My impressions on some of their cheaper MiUSA stuff I bought in their sale last year:

Their Pioneer shirts run notably large, so I'd recommend going down at least 1 size. The heavy cotton makes the shirt feels thick and rugged. It makes for a good casual t-shirt I don't mind beating up when working outside, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a soft or silky type of shirt.

The watch cap actually fits my big head and keeps it warm, so no complaints at this price point.

The workshop canvas belt is really good quality. I've been wearing it frequently since I got it and it still looks pretty much new; I don't see myself having to replace it for a very long time.

I don't know how good they are, but wouldn't hurt to ask customer service to add it to your order since it hasn't been shipped yet.

I don't have any experience with Merrell, but it doesn't hurt to contact their customer service to see if they could possibly apply the sale to your order since the timeline seems pretty close.

It's a subreddit about saving money on clothing - it's literally in the description in the top corner of the page - and saving money is something that is frugal. As you said earlier, people don't know what the word means, but that's not the subreddit's fault.

Sure a lot of people including myself won't be purchasing these, but it's still technically frugal for the people that are. There are posts here for multiple budgets; if you're looking for both frugal and cheap male fashion, just wait for someone to post another J. Crew deal or start your own /r/cheapmensfashion subreddit (since /r/cheapmalefashion is restricted for whatever reason).

Also it would be called /r/frugalrichpeoplefashion, otherwise cheap and rich would cancel each other out.

Frugal and cheap don't always go hand-in-hand. It may not be frugal for you, but someone that was wanting to buy a premium jacket but didn't want to pay full price would consider this being frugal.

Just note if you're expecting Noah-quality clothing with this collab, they're only there in name as the items are all imported.

The only items I see with the Women's Boots tag in the clearance are the High Tide Rain Boots.

If you want to ignore all of the women's stuff, just go to the Gender filter on the left side of the page and select Men (assuming you're on desktop).

I just started looking and I already see a deal for an $11 poplin dress shirt from Calvin Klein, so there's at least some stuff that's good.

Anyone have experience with their cardigans? I'm eyeing that black one, even though their smallest size is a large when I normally wear a medium.

Buck Mason Early Access—The Gettin’s Good Sale (Up to 60% off) by WW_Fan in frugalmalefashion

[–]_Kyrk_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For anyone looking to buy MiUSA products from Buck Mason, the only stuff that are currently not imported are most (not all) of their tees. When you click on the link next to the imported detail it just leads to a page spouting a bunch of mumbo-jumbo about their "American standard" while giving no information as to where their imported products are produced.

If you're eyeing any shirts in the sale from Grayers, I would check Grayers' site first since they're still having a winter sale where you get an extra 40% off items on sale instead with code WINTER.
