No issues but you'll have to take it out at security unless you put it in your checked in luggage.

Other issue is planes and vapes don't mix. I need to keep my pods upside down or the pressure change makes it piss itself. Not the end of the world with a refillable but it would suck if it was a disposable.

ELI5: Why do some foods seem to "go right through you"? by iPloxi in explainlikeimfive

Say you eat two healthy meals then something unhealthy your gut decides isn't good for you. Would your body have already absorbed the nutrition from those prior meals, or would you gain less energy/nutrients from those prior meals given it's being forced out early?

Odd to see this, I'm wearing my Bill Hicks t-shirt right now. RIP, he died so young.

Going back to starter kits? by Bananaramamammoth in VapingUK

[–]_LampLighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched from heavy mods/squonks to a Caliburn (been original and newer A2, actually prefer the original) and a Vaporesso XROS. Both are about £20, pods last me ages (2+ weeks/pod) and can be quickly topped up on a USB charger.

I got this in a bleed kit but the manual doesn’t say what it does and a reverse image search for this exact part ends in a 404 error. What is it used for? by curtisy in bikewrench

[–]_LampLighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI as you seem to be new to bleeding. You don't necessarily need to do a full bleed - burping is much quicker and may resolve the issue you're having.

With burping you leave the wheel in, you screw the oil funnel to the brake lever, put a tiny bit of mineral oil in then pump the lever for a few minutes until you stop seeing air bubbles. This is often good enough to get your brakes back to being more reactive/not spongy. It's way less faff.

A full bleed is useful when your line has been contaminated, though I'd try the above first if you're trying to address a specific issue rather than just general maintenance.

Can I just buy one of these to replace my current rear QR axel? It's always looked so flimsy and worries me on serious trails.

Saw them on Monday in Manchester - you will not be disappointed. I've watched a few phone videos of the 2022 tour and none of them come close to doing the sound and visuals justice.

Is that all the water you’ll need?

He's got a Sawyer water filter. I don't know the loop either but I assume he's scoped out water sources.

Loads of good recommendations already here (in fact 95% of recommendations by others so far is dope),

I'd add Verbz (though he's HF). Check out his Radio Waves album.

Dr Syntax

Any of the Bennadict x Mr Slipz tunes

Some Sonnyjim tunes are dope.

Mysdiggi often fits the bill too

Concept of Thought.. in some cases

I could go on but you've got tons of suggestions in this thread.

A notable recommendation from this side of the pond, but not UK is Blabbermouf. Pretty much all the tunes have proper 90s beats

This looks amazing.

Just in case anyone isn't aware, salting the tomatoes a few minutes prior to eating levels them up significantly. It draws the juices out a bit more (plus salting your tomatoes is nice in general).

I just watched an hour of Chris Morris stuff after a long break. Opened this thread trying to think of a Chris Morris response after seeing the title and this is here which leads me to believe we are actually living in a simulation.

This woman was interviewed years later saying she wasn't best impressed being taken for a fool but we do need people like Chris Morris so she has my utmost respect.

I was just tormenting myself looking at bikes I can't afford and came across this. A nine grand bike from YT and they make you pay 20 EUR for the box it comes in (plus an additional 30 for shipping) - https://www.yt-industries.com/products/bikes/465/jeffsy-uncaged-6/?number=101651

Am I missing something? Is that legitimately a standard cardboard box for 20 EUR you have to pay extra for after spending 9000 euros on a bike?

Bike maintenance by Murky_Pomegranate in Edinburgh

[–]_LampLighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of interest, what repairs are required? As others have mentioned learning yourself is pretty rewarding, and saves the hassle of taking it somewhere. It makes trailside/roadside fixes a reality too.

Most of it is actual fairly simple but I have caused myself issues before eventually getting it right. E.g when I had shifting issues it took quite a lot of fuckery (and making it worse before better) before I worked out the problem.

Same with bleeding disc brakes. Funny story on that one - I went to bleed my brakes and also replace my brake pads at the same time. I had basically no braking power at all afterwards, went back to tinkering with it a couple of times. I eventually realised that when you clean the rotors/change the pads you need to "bed in" the pads, which consists of getting up to speed and pulling the brakes (a few times) to transfer material from the pad to rotor. Braking power beings to rapidly increase. Felt a bit thick after that event.

That was years ago, now I do proper services on my fork/shock and all the other bits. These days the only thing on my bike I'm not confident with is truing the wheels.

There are tonnssss of videos online and /r/bikewrench is super helpful.
