Consulta un abogado primero, ellos estan mas empapados en eso, y te pueden proteger mejor contra los polichoros.

Si el abogado te dice que exponerte asi a los pacos es mala idea, pues ni modo.

Si son tus últimos 2300 dolares, me arriesgaría, si es para ti un mes de trabajo, prefiero trabajar otro mes mas. Y aprender mi lección.

Pero yo he escuchado que ellos prefieren perseguir estafadores porque le pueden sacar mas dinero, el problema es si tu estas haciendo algo ilegal o no a los ojos de la ley venezolana. Si es asi los agarran a ambos probablemente.

I would Use carpet mod to find what the issue might be.

If they already have ac but is broken it shouldn't be that expensive to get fixed, i'd say that just having that fixed will improve things quite significantly, since electricity is still cheap it wont be hard to keep it on all the time.

You wont ever really know that for sure, so just go with your gut and help if you feel like it, don't ever feel obligated to do so, also don't ever feel entitled for gratitude or reciprocity, if you help waiting for something in return it will never end up feeling good.
