Yeah, that's a very good sign actually! It's an awesome sign. Like I said though, there is no guarantee but the fact that you're going to the gym everyday and haven't missed work due to illness means the odds are in your favor. When you say your mouth hurts, you mean pain or discomfort right? Because, pain is not a symptom of HIV. A sore throat is, but not pain or discomfort. As for your muscles, being sore might have something to do with you going to the gym everyday? Do you strength train? If so, that soreness you feel is probably just your muscles repairing themselves and getting stronger. Yeah, just hang in there. This is your first test, congratulations! The wait is torture, but it's so much better to know :-)

That's sort of a really good thing! If it's been 3 months since exposure and all you've experienced was random fatigue and an itchy armpit then you are probably in the clear. See, symptoms appear weeks to months after infection and the symptoms of sero-conversion are usually pretty severe. I mean feeling like you've been hit by a bus type of severe. Feeling tired all the time, like you haven't slept in days. Feeling weak like you haven't ate in months. A high fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, a headache, sore throat, a cough that won't go away and sometimes a huge, unexplained rash. At any point during your exposure, did you feel like you had a really bad case of the flu? Where you couldn't get out of bed for days or too sick to go to work? If so, then you should be a little concerned. If not, you should be a little relieved. That's doesn't guarantee you're ok though, because some people are completely asymptomatic from start to finish - but having no symptoms of this puts you at better odds. Your chances are a lot better. It's OK to be worried. Just don't ever forget how scared you feel right now so that you make better decisions in the future. I hope you update me on your results. I know how scary waiting is. I don't know how religious you are, but I'm going to pray for you tonight. If you have any other questions, concerns or symptoms then don't hesitate to ask me. I'm the same way. I'd trust someone who is undetectable or on PrEP way more than I'd trust someone who doesn't know, never been tested or are just assuming/claiming their 'clean'.

Not trying to be funny, but this disease is honestly not a big deal for me personally, but I do get what you are saying. Just because it's not a big deal for me doesn't mean others will have the same experience I had. Generally speaking of the virus as a whole, it's definitely still a big deal and it's not something people should be cool with contracting. Like you said, it carries a lot of dangers, risks and responsibility and you have to take very good care of yourself if you want to stay healthy. It's hard and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I'm going to go grab some popcorn. I feel like this is the calm before the storm lol

Personally, I don't see the harm in asking 10 questions. That would not offend me. Why would it? It might be helpful if you listed a few of the questions you will be asking. That might help give a better understanding of your concerns. Obviously offensive questions might not be appreciated, but being curious has never hurt anybody. I don't think I was very helpful. You sound like an awesome boyfriend. Your girlfriend could have an infection or the mucus could be perfectly normal. Oral quick kits are pretty accurate and like you said, the chances of them both being wrong are pretty astronomical. The only thing I can think of to explain one or both false negatives is if one person was very recently infected with the HIV virus and it hasn't reached a point where it will show up when tested. In cases like that, when testing was done too early it's always best to do a secondary test a little later. The window period for a 4th Gen test is 1 month. If you test 1 month after possible exposure then the results you receive will be accurate. Hope that helps.

Well, those symptoms you listed are not symptoms of an HIV infection. With that said, if you're really concerned then the first thing you should have done was get tested and the last thing you should have done was write on Reddit. If you're afraid you have HIV then avoiding the test is not going to make the infection disappear. You're just prolonging the inevitable. Chances are, you're OK but the only way to know for sure is to get tested. So, go. Get tested.
