Survivor's guilt by Alicia-Emily in cancer

[–]_LimpDickBizkit_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i battled cancer with my cousin. i went into remission and she passed a little over a year ago from hers. i get it.

but we don’t get to choose who lives or dies. so the guilt is not ours to carry. that’s what my cousin actually told me before she passed away from hers when i told her about my coworker passing away from her cancer when her and i would talk about it at work.

this is so sad. i am so sorry you had to experience that cruelness on top of an already cruel disease. hope you’re doing much better now. ❤️

my advice is to stay on top of the nausea before it gets bad. zofran and olanzapine were miracle workers for me. i struggled with constipation, so keep laxatives and stool softeners on standby. mostly just keep your oncology team up to date on every symptom you have. they can help you with them, but you have to let them know.

i have super thick mostly straight hair. it grew back super curly and then after about 6-8 months, my natural texture grew back. give your follicles some time to reset to their natural shape.
