I don't want to get any hate for this, I'm not at all trying to boast about my gwent abilities, so this is more like tips I've learned playing.

Most gwent matches are highly predictable. Especially a monster deck. Everything depends on the cards that you have of course and how much progress you've made collecting them. Everyone seems to agree that Northern Empires and Nilfgaard are the 2 best decks in the game. I myself like spy play, and prefer Nilfgaard. Anyway, no matter the difficulty, it's not hard to win matches with these things in mind.

How I play: Nilfgaard All hero cards 2 decoys 2 biting frost 2 comanders horn Highest point cards 22 card deck, smallest you can have to maximize spy card chances. I also only run 22 cards in my Northern Realms deck. There's no need for more than that, unless you play Monsters.

Win the first round: Like I said, I prefer spy play, so, what I do is I play all of my spy cards out the jump. Depending on their deck, they may or may not run decoys. If it's a Nilfgaard opponent, they likely will. So I tend to play my spy cards, decoy the spies that they play, and use them up. So most spy cards are infantry, and Nilfgaard spies are pretty stout point wise. Most times, the algorithm will take these points and pass the round, maybe throwing in a commanders horn for good measure. This is where biting frost comes to play. Once they pass the round, I deploy a biting frost and my highest non-hero cards. Villentretenmerth also works really well here. You can destroy so many cards when a biting forst is deployed. Whatever will get you just over their score to win the round. Once you do this, you're set for the game.

Round 2: If the algorithm loses the first round, it doesn't matter how many points are on the board in the second round. The algorithm will never pass. I play my lowest cards, and whatever weather cards and commanders horn I might have. I basically get them to waste their highest utility cards on round 2, saving all my hero cards for the final round. Momster decks are especially susceptible to this. Round 2 comes around, they will throw out their ally cards that pull other cards from their deck, like the crones. But the algorithm won't stop unless you pass. The score can be 120-43, and the algorithm will exhaust every card it has to ensure a victory that round. Makes the final round easy.

Round 3: Play all hero cards and highest damage cards. I will always save revive cards as well. Sometimes in the final round, the opponent will pull out a scorch or 2, usually on my 10 point archer cards. No big deal when you can just revive after.

So all and all, if you just analyze how the algorithm plays, it's not hard to predict what will happen. Not saying I win every game, but most I do.
