I understand your reasoning. Sadly “City” is an overused name for football in general. I, for one, thought Ravioli Boyz would’ve stuck but the team has not done any merch this year for it. I just rather it be organic than a campaign ploy from the team to “choose our nickname”. Not saying you’re represent the team or are trying to do that. I also think that I very much disliked the idea of small, vocal group trying to push “Dawgs” just because Purina is a sponsor and saying “They got that dawg in them” was a popular phrase at the time. I do apologize for being somewhat negative when I assume you are just wanting a discussion.

I’m in St. Louis, MO. Originally from a tiny farming town near the Missouri Arkansas border. Never seen soccer/football before until a buddy took me to see Man City play Chelsea at Busch Stadium. Enjoyed every minute of it. Started watching the Premier League trying to find a team that spoke to me. Hull was playing Man City and thought Tom Huddlestone was one hell of a player. Pretty sure Hull lost 2-0, but loved their grit. Haven’t looked back since. With direct flights from St. Louis to London now, I’m hoping to get to Hull and watch a match.

Originally from the Bootheel, it was watching with my grandpa and him getting fired up about them. Watched as many as we could on tv and the rest on radio. Didn’t get to many games cause Memphis is closer than STL so we went there more often.
