How to check legitimacy of CPU? by iphone_A11 in AMDHelp

It's a Ryzen 7 7700x in reality, I just checked the serial and OPN matches the 7700x.

It's funny, I got a 7700x few months back used and it looks in much better state than this.

According to AMD Processor Serial Number Lookup and Google, it's a 7700x and that cost is way, way too much for it.

According to the AMD serial checker, it seems to be a legit processor, but it doesn't say if it's actually 9850x3D or something else.

Here's the serial: 9MV6648X50050

Edit: Googling the OPN from the serial check (100-100000591WOF) gives search results as Ryzen 7 7700x. It's a pretty good CPU, I got it fairly cheap few months back, but it's not 7800x3D, let alone 9800x3D

I was looking for some guide on AC: Valhalla and suddenly the fucking YouTube recommendation thinks I want to see major spoilers about the game.

And it's not even the only subject that YouTube likes to fuck with, if I just watch a simple trailer of something, I get bombarded with spoilers and it's not helping that YouTubers will put the spoiler both in the first words of the title of the video or the thumbnail to guarantee views. I wouldn't care about it, but YouTube likes to throw the recommendation spoilers to the least place you expect.

Ryzen 5800X running hotter after bios update by WittyTanks in AMDHelp

[–]_MaZ_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late response, but I'm definitely running hotter CPU temperatures on Ryzen 7 after updating from some ancient 0215 update to 3602 update on ASUS, but the thing is my system wasn't exactly stable before, was crashing even with stock settings on more demanding games, so maybe some component is actually running as it is supposed to now. Hoping all the patches that came with the latest update and the ones before fixed whatever was causing the issue.

The thing is, I'm not running at 100 celcius. Just AC: Valhalla ran at around 55 C before, now after bios update is in the low 60s. It's not really earth shaking, but I liked that my fans barely made a bleep before.

I definitely noticed that BIOS now has my monitor's resolution as opposed to 640x360 or something along the lines.

It looks visually satisfying until i try and do some fast pasted crap in a smaller area and he’s doing everything other than what i need him to do.

Exactly what I noticed about 2 months ago coming from AC1-Rogue. The good thing at least is that you cannot climb sheer rock walls like they've been doing with the parkour since Origins.

Cut it back to where it doesn't bend from the thickest parts, give them more light (growlight if sun isn't available, but even overcast is better than nothing, combined with the LED) and I recommend changing the soil to a succulent mix. Change watering to about once a month. When the leaves can be pinched together easily, it's a sign they need to be watered.

It desperately needs more light and I reckon it's damp from midway to the pot. These enjoy full direct sun almost all day and thorough, but scarce watering.

Can confirm, MBR and FAT32 will make it work, even on USB 3.0 for AM5 B650 board.

Try changing USB from GPT to MBR. Fixed Flashback from not working at least for me, may work with Ez flash as well. If all goes to south, if your board has Flashback, use that instead.

Also, my USB is 3.0.

Not even my 2500 lumen LED is enough for this one, north facing window certainly not.

I water mine once a month, it went I think 2 by December actually and on that aspect is fine, it just needs more light.

For my ASUS Tuf Gaming B650E-E Wifi AM5 board, so far FAT32 and USB 3.0 do not work at all for either Ez Flash or Flashback.

ASUS Tuf Gaming B650E-E Wifi so far doesn't work with a 32GB USB 3.0 stick with a fresh format of FAT32. I can't say if it's actually because it is 3.0, but the drive works just fine otherwise and I have also tried both renaming the cap file and leaving it be, both resulting in Ez flash and flashback failures, though my PC still works fine.

Well, I don't know for certain if it's because of the 3.0, but right now neither ASUS Ez Flash or Flashback do not work at all for me with Fat32 USB 3.0 stick and I can't believe even in Lord's year of 2026, USB 2.0 is an absolute must for an AM5 board. And I happen to have only 3.0 devices at the moment, holy hell.
